I'll start with a question... Is there anything you can do to your phone to stop people from tracking you via Bluetooth Surveillance ?

Don't know if anyone has even ever heard of this. Basically they are coming out with technology that can monitor your movements in a building via your Bluetooth on your smart phone,ipod,computer etc.

Serious question besides leaving all your gadgets at your house is there anyway to stop or prevent this? and would shutting your gadget off prevent this or would they still be able to log your Bluetooth and track you?

I suppose you could put your mobile phone in one of those signal blocker cases, that will probably do the trick.

I've seen people like at Defcon turn the Bluetooth off along with their data, put their phone in airplane mode ect. I was kinda of curious if we had someone into this type of thing going tell me if even the settings being off would even matter.

You would either need to completely disable radio use (airplane mode)
Or block the frequency that the bluetooth band operates on, using a jammer

Just turn bluetooth off.

If your phone isn't transmitting the signal, they can't track it.
