I know i barely have any posts but i have been around here for about two months and i see that many people keep posting javascript questions in the JAVA forum.

Frankly the only things that Java and Javascript have in common is that they both have "Java" in their name. In my own words, Java is an object-oriented programming language while JavaScript, on the other hand, was created by Netscape as a scripting language much like a client side version PHP. It cannot create stand alone applications, but instead resides on an internet browser.

Javascript is a scripting language. Hence the name Java"SCRIPT"
Java is a programming language.

Java takes Years + To Master

They Will allways Been Posting Sht like "I Need Help With My Java Code" When Its Javascript or "I Need Help With Javascript"

to master? Javascript can be just as devious. The more advanced the coding, the more javascript tends to be harder on the party of pure undocumented goodness oh and cross-browser dependencies.

To give the thread a lil' bit more meaning, the name JavaScript was chosen due marketing success of Sun's Java platform to this time - prior to this JavaScript was called 'LiveScript'.
This makes it even more clear that there is no true relation between both languages, except that both have their similar syntax which is originally from BCPL.

You are right there, Actionscript was based on Javascript, but js was never really connected to actionscript in any other way
