I've already contacted both AllCrypt and CoinPayments, and they've both updated their wallets, so you're good. Get a signed message before dealing: Keybase Still here sometimes. Can you post the crash report (if there is one)?
Great news. Glad to see development. I've altered the Omnicoin.org website to reflect the Github links for development and for downloads.
Can I assume this fixes the AV alerts? I still see 2 alerts including ESET-NOD. https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/a63cb.../analysis/ Is the miner stuff still in the QT code? And what about the suggestion to add a "code signing certificate?" They run about $170-$200 for a year. I've updated my own wallet with no problems. The 3.6m OMC I have are secure. Maybe it will inspire me to get something done on HF too. Can't let you guys get all the glory. (Feb 8, 2015 05:50 PM)Omniscient Wrote: Can I assume this fixes the AV alerts? I still see 2 alerts including ESET-NOD. The antivirus scans are currently lower than before because the file has a new hash. After a few weeks / months the detection rate will most likely increase again. (Feb 8, 2015 05:50 PM)Omniscient Wrote: Is the miner stuff still in the QT code? Yes, the mining code is still in the client. In the past I attempted removing it, but it was still detected. This is most likely because the framework of the client is so similar to other clients that have miners that it assumes it contains a miner. This should help with the virus scans, but won't completely mark it as clean. (Feb 8, 2015 05:50 PM)Omniscient Wrote: Glad to see this all happening. Will we lose all of our OMC once updated the wallet?
No, you won't loose any coins or has to transfer them.

Also, keep up the work OMC devs, you are doing a amazing job. All your coins are safe. It's as simple as running the new wallet. No additional steps necessary.
