OMC

AllCrypt Hacked

Wow, that's not fun. I pulled everything out for good a long time ago.

I wonder what they will do with all the OMC. There was probably at least 1M OMC in there.

Honestly, I don't really feel bad at all. It was doomed to happen. He ran a poorly made site with many bugs, never fixed any of them, and wasn't friendly in the slightest.

Eventually bugs caught up with him and he just blamed other people for it.

Now a nice big bug came along and really gave him a good bite

Although, this "hack" could have been an inside job. I wouldn't be surprised.

So potentially because they didn't fix the vulnerability you found, they got hacked again, correct?

If that's the case, they got what they deserved lol.

Just not good news for OMC temporarily, it's only exchange is HF really.

Well, according to them it was hacked a different way. But the vuln I found was another possible exploit.
42 BTC on a site where OMC was the most traded coin with like 0.1 BTC volume?
I kinda feel bad for the owner, but then i read some stuff about him and the way he ran the website, and I guess he could have changed alot of stuff. I mean, im no expert, and i dont want to criticise anyone, but maybe what happened now could have been prevented. Also, he always complained about not having enough staff, so it could have been an inside job or something. Anyways, hope he can get back the Btc's they stole. That is still alot of money...
Here's a hint: Easiest way to do an inside job? Take the fucking coins and pull the power cord. Not sit up til 4am dicking around with twitter and doing google searches on the asshole responsible.

Want to know why I'm a prick? Want to know why I act like an asshole to a lot of people in support tickets? Because of this. This thread. The way the USERS of the site act. It gets real fucking old dealing with childish crap like this, so the tolerance goes to nil, and the default response becomes 'Piss off'. To those of you even halfway decent (HKS for example, above) thanks for the support. To everyone else, well, how I feel is no secret.

Abe found an exploit which was fixed. Which had nothing to do with this.

Oh who gives a shit. Anything I say here is irrelevant anyway. I have better shit to do than to argue with kids at 4am.

Actually I enjoyed using AllCrypt, it wasn't the most beautiful site that I saw but it was working fine (untill today). When there was the first problem with 51% OMC, the admin didn't just drop it but helped to fix the problem, right?

I don't think it was an "inside job", he could have done that 1 month before releasing closure of AllCrypt. That time Im sure there were many more BTC.

AllCrypt I hope you will come back stronger.
Damn, I feel like it had potential but this set it back a lot further now.
Rest in pepperonis allcrypt.

All the BTC was stolen... Can we have our OMC/Altcoin back or you keep them as a "collateral" ?

It can be an exit scam which often happen in Bitcoin exchange, marketplace and forum.

Its not about being decent. And dont take the community as bad. Allcrypt was one of the easiest exchanges to use. Its was an awsome idea, anf everyone knows you've put alot of work on it. Like i said, hope you can get it back together, and seeing allcrypt opening again would be awsome...
I feel like this could be an exit strategy by the owner of the website. He's said time and again that he's lost a lot of time and money on the website and he's seemed quite bitter about it. Wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to not actually be hacked.

You're extremely unprofessional which makes me believe that it's probably your fault as opposed to a 0 day exploit. If you didn't want to put the time into the website (including support) then you never should have started it, simple as that.
Wordpress is not safer , practical experience
Sad for Allcrypt got hacked , lots of hard work goes in vein :(
This was an exit scam, they have all the BTC now lmao

You're taking business way to personal, you're taking the response from the community to the heart - and giving responses from the heart as well, which a business owner should not do.

Abe found an dangerous exploit on allcrypt and your repayment for him finding it is to rage at him. That may of caused bad attention, and someone found the next exploit and used it against you because what was the reward for finding it? This is why real businesses pay when exploits are found.

Nyan~
