With a jailbroken PS3, you can mod games, play backups of games and such. If you're into these kind of things, I'd say its worth it.

Depending on what games you play, and what you do online. One tip, never open homebrew online.

If you're looking to buy a 3.55 OFW PS3, my best bet would be on Amazon or eBay. I downgraded and jailbroke my PS3 myself, so I don't really know where to buy.

Haven't done my research since my old JB broke. But what CFW can you go online at this moment since the patch that patched spoofing?

Ebay is the best place to buy it i used to mod on ps3 alot before moving to Xbox modding but i got some slim 3.55 CFW's from ebay from $200-$250 mint condition

You need a PS3 with the firmware 3.55. You can dowgrade your PS3 with a E3 Flasher if its not 3.55
