Hey guys, Im not a big anime fan to be honest, However I FUCKING LOVE DBZ! Watched it since I was little and I absolutely love it, I saw a friend of mine watching naruto and after months of telling him it was for nerds and it looked stupid I started watching it and I never stopped, I loved it aswell, I am already up to date with the episodes I have to wait for the new one every week.

Anyways I was thinking maybe I am a little into anime (Not the hardcore stuff) so I started reading One Piece was really good, Ive watched like 5-10 episodes and my first impression is, it is stupid and its for little kids, Maybe I havent given it enogh time to form an impression, is it worth watching? Does it get better? I dont like the idea of forcing myself to like a show, Like having to watch 50-100 episodes for me to be able to enjoy it. Anyways Id like to know what you guys think :)

Meh reading it is much better IMO. But I have only watched a few episodes of the show I did not really enjoy it. You might though. I would just watch like 30 or 40 episodes then form your own opinion most people either love or hate that Anime.

One Piece starts out kind of boring and may seem mediocre. It's definitely a slow progressing anime, which can make the arcs seem ridiculously long. The banter used between the main characters can also be seen as childlike.

Beyond all the randomness and childlike banter, there is tons of crazy action. It starts getting better during the Water 7 arc and only continues to become better from there. It's definitely an anime you'll have to put a lot of time into to make it feel rewarding. I didn't think it was very good at first either, but I kept myself up to date with it and I do not regret it now.

I read some episodes of the manga. Got to about episode 190 or something along the lines of that. Doesn't really make you want to keep reading. Gets pretty bland. Plus, with all the chapters out, it's discouraging to me (Hate feeling like I'll never catch up)

If you are okay with watching 800 episodes, go for it, it's a very good anime. However the first arcs may be boring.

One Piece is funnier, Sadder, Better Fights with a more realistic balance of fighting power.

And when you've watched every episode of one piece, it feels a lot more realistic than naruto does, where naruto just powers up right before big fights. Luffy actually gets his ass kicked and has to try his best to actually win.

I disagree on that, most of Naruto / Naruto Shippuden is based on him feeling shit and how he feels he 'cannot' get stronger or defeat an opponent - he tries his hardest and gets defeated but in the end he manages to win. Also it depends whether you're emotionally attached to the anime itself which I was deeply and it made such a difference as I could relate to most of the things that were said/done. And it depends on what your type of humor is and what you consider funny or sad and so on.

Welp from personal experience, watching back to back takes about 6 months. I started it a few years ago when there was just around 600 episodes, so the thing is, the longer you wait the harder/longer it'll be to catch up. So if you want to do it, do it now rather than later.

I like'd it, mostly just the story, in comparison to other anime's out there, it might not be as on par in terms of everything else.

I disagree on that, most of Naruto / Naruto Shippuden is based on him feeling shit and how he feels he 'cannot' get stronger or defeat an opponent - he tries his hardest and gets defeated but in the end he manages to win. Also it depends whether you're emotionally attached to the anime itself which I was deeply and it made such a difference as I could relate to most of the things that were said/done. Naruto from the begging learns a forbidden technique in the pilot.

Naruto then has the nine tailed fox in him give him a power boost.

Then he further uses the nine tails power. which is the only reason why he can summon the big toad.

Then he trains for 2 years and gets a boost but sasuke is way stronger.

Then he learns the windstyle, gets more power boost.

Then he learns sage mode

Then he realizes how much chakra reserves he has which makes him stronger than kakashi

Then he learns to take control of the nine tails power

Then he becomes friends with the nine tails and fully uses its power.

It's pretty slow in the beginning, but it does get better later on. Honestly, I think bleach would probably be better for you to watch first if you love naruto and dbz.
