Rice already owed me $140 for a previous scam which he said he'd pay back. His PayPal wasn't verified (a new one since old one got restricted) and needed to buy a VBA. I was hesitant, but eventually decided to do a $44 BTC -> $50 PP deal with him again earlier today. Well, bad idea. Just got an unauthorized chargeback on PayPal from his second PayPal account. Chances are it's a stolen account (new info I learned today, opening community alert about that, separate issue). Just going to have to bite it. Never deal with this user.

Call me an idiot all you want, this was an attempt to get the $140 back he promised to reimburse. Didn't think he'd scam again. Lesson learned - the hard way as usual. Keep in mind, this PayPal dispute was not initiated by PayPal, it was initiated by the buyer.
You're not an idiot, everyone has their bad days.

why would you do that. you should have asked for his debt to be paid back first

Not just a bad day but also you need to get some brains. Why would you try to deal with him despite being scammed for $140 by him in the past? Sigh. I really no wonder why he isn't in your ignore list, yet.
Im having a bad day too as a family member died. Hope this gets resolved and you get your money as promised.

I was at the restaurant while he did this.
