Durarara!! is supernatural and close enough to modern times, maybe a few years ago like 2005 or something. It has a season two that's still ongoing too. Charlotte is a new supernatural anime that's still airing (episode 3 in 3 days) and it looks like it'll be pretty decent. Looks like this'll be more story-heavy than action, but can't say for sure with only two episodes so far. As for Noragami, in case you didn't know there's a second season airing this fall. Already watched the first season of Durarara, just realized I never finished the second. I'll check out Charlotte, and holy fuck I did not know that about Noragami. Looking forward to a second season, I really enjoyed the first. Was the first anime I was actually able to finish in a year. Trust me, I've been looking for something like them for a while as well. it's hard. you've probably seen this too, but Tokyo Ghoul is a good dark and horror anime. I literally just started Tokyo Ghoul yesterday. :P So far I'm really digging it. I like the whole dark supernatural stuff, Darker Than Black was probably my favorite anime of that type. Not really horror but pretty dark. |
