Hmm, thank god I didn't begin my migration to DuckDNS yet, otherwise I would have been pissed.
Looks like I'll move to FreeDNS now.

some ips are blacklisted on freedns

Could try another one : https://www.dtdns.com/ , but it does not have a working update client for w7 or w8 like duckdns or no-ip but works through their website to update your ip with their free dynamic dns. others are :
