Hey. So I know a lot of people are uneasy about all of this security/privacy non-sense where Win10 sends your information and stuff the Microsoft... well, there's a way to prevent that.
When installing Windows 10 and setting it up in the final stages, where it asks you to set up the settings, DO NOT CLICK "USE EXPRESS SETTINGS" click the option that says "Advanced" or similar in the bottom left corner. From there you can choose to not send Microsoft information regarding contacts and search history.
After you're finished installing, restart. Then run CMD Console as admin, and type these all in separately:
sc delete DiagTrack
sc delete dmwappushservice
echo "" > C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Diagnosis\ETLLogs\AutoLogger\AutoLogger-Diagtrack-Listener.etl
and after you do that you can go to Settings --> Privacy and turn every off you don't want on.
Also, as a reminder, you can NOT use Cortana if you don't want Microsoft to have your information and search history and such.
Note: You can turn them ON after the installation is complete, but if you decide to turn them on for some reason, you can't turn them OFF again.

Ah yes, thank you for your contribution
Oh no! Microsoft is sending bug reports to themselves to help improve the OS. This is such an invasion of privacy. They can see that Pornhub caused my system to crash :o
There's a option aswell for that, under Settings - Privacy - General - and (Send microsoft info about how i write to help us improve typing and writing in the future. )
I have updated the OP with some more information on disabling and removing the services.

This is from the terms of service policy with win 10
“If you open a file, we may collect information about the file, the application used to open the file, and how long it takes any use [of]it for purposes such as improving performance, or [if you]enter text, we may collect typed characters, we may collect typed characters and use them for purposes such as improving autocomplete and spell check features."
Still not invasion of privacy?

What if you already installed it with Express Settings?
Will it still work?

If you can turn them off in Settings --> Privacy and if you can do those commands in the CMD Console, then you're fine. 😁

If you actually read it you would find explicit details for each category of data collection. Believe it or not many applications already do this including websites. I mean if you have a problem with Microsoft trying to make the best possible operating system for you then by all means disable such fearures but you get the wrong idea when it comes to text collection. Especially since this provides a source for Microsoft to learn you speaking habits. If you were to spell 'the' as 'teh' frequently, for example, Windows would pick up on this and correct it.
But hey, Microsoft may just want to store millions of people's data on databases just for the hell of it. At least my story's on Word will have a reader.

I see your point of view but we have do major different ones.
Don't care if they get to store my school exam review report or something like that.
But the fact that they are allowing them self to do it, is scary
What we will allow them to do in 2 years?
