I need to get into my router's admin page to change settings, but I don't know the user/pass. It is not the default user/pass.

The router is a netgear R7000.


Is there any way to get in?

I'm sure you can just reset it , bruteforcing it seems a bit extreme if it is yours.

I would normally do this, but resetting it would alert others using the router of my actions. I need to get in and change a few minor settings, a full reset would be suspicious 👹

I did look at the hydra tool, but almost all tutorials show the user already having the username and only having to recover the password. I have neither.

I am quite new to this though, so I may just be confused.

If you don't need the Username, and the Hydra tool is the right tool, do you recommend a certain word list?

Reset it or call your ISP, I hope you tried all the admin administrator common passwords.

As I said in my post, I know it is not the default admin password. Also, resetting isn't an option.

You can reset it manually on your router lol. Try google.
