I live in the UK and currently have a Macbook Pro which is in full working order.
I wish to insure it but the problem is the receipt is not in my name.
Apparently as my Macbook pro is still covered by the Apple manufacturer year warranty, if a break happens which they cannot repair they will give me a new one - When they issue a new Macbook Pro it comes with a newly printed receipt, which I can then get in my name.
I had a discussion with the Apple store manager and I told him "I will have to go home and intentionally break my Macbook", he basically agreed its the only way possible.
I am now wondering how I should go about doing this.
Has anybody had a genuine issue which when returning your Macbook to a store they did not fix it but replace it? If so what was it.
I am looking for some ideas here of what type of Break I should cause? Also it must be within the Apple warranty, so I think things like water damage are not covered.
