Hello.
I am playing around with Skype4COM and I came across an issue. When I attach to the Skype client and I attempt to send a message, the message is sent however, it is displayed as if it's pending, just like the image below:
Do you guys have any idea why this happens?
I am sending the message like this:
Code Skype SkypeClient = new Skype();
if (!SkypeClient.Client.IsRunning)
{
ErrorTracker.GetInstance().DisplayError("Skype is not running. Please start a Skype instance and run the username scrapper again.");
return;
}
else
{
SkypeClient.Attach(7, false);
}
foreach(User SkypeContact in SkypeClient.Friends)
{
if (listTargetContacts.Items.Contains(SkypeContact.Handle))
SkypeClient.SendMessage(SkypeContact.Handle, FrmConfigMessage.GetInstance().Message);
}
Any help would be appreciated much! I tried finding a solution on Google but it seems like all messaging issues are related to group chats, not individual contacts.
Thank you!

In my experience that happens when you send an ass ton of messages all at once, same would happen if you pressed a key + enter as fast as you could into a chat by yourself, some would be stuck on pending
That or the receiving person is offline, pretty sure it shows pending under that circumstance too.
Try adding a 250ms delay between messages

This is not the issue I presume, I've only sent 1 message.
i have experience with skype4com in vb not c but i have had that issue before. It has to do with the program injecting messages into skype. I think that the feature just doesnt work properly like its suppose to. I use to inject messages into my skype status to try and find a exploit that would crash skype like that one thing :/: Try a different way of using the code and see if it works. Ive had issues with the messaging part but not injecting words into the status.

There is only one way with that library to send a Skype message as far as I am concerned and it doesn't work for me for some reason.
Something I would think of right off the bat is to restart your Skype. It seems pretty minimal but I've had the same issue (except messaging normally without a program) and restarting Skype helped. Another idea is that if you message lots of contacts at once, Skype will have some pending as they believe you're spamming; if I'm understanding your snippet correctly then you sent it to all your contacts (however I'm not sure how many people that is).
Moving on in life in such a way that doesn't include HF. HF allowed me to get into the security field and peaked my interest: I appreciate everyone's time, effort, and encouragement. If for some reason you have a means to message me outside HF, feel free to, but I won't be coming back.
i dont know about you, but i use the same library,
to send a message all i do is
attach version 7 to skype object:
Code skype.Attach(7, false);
and to send the actual message:
Code skype.SendMessage(Username, Message);

I have a lot of experience using the Skype library and this isn't due to your coding, it's just Skype being laggy / your connection OR the user is just offline.
Thank you for your inputs guys! I will try your suggestions and let you know :)
I thought Microsoft removed the ability to send messages from the Skype4COM ?

Weren't they trying to get rid of Skype4COM completely or at least dampen it down? Haven't really kept in touch with this.

If they'd done that all of the currently working Skype bots would be non-functional; easy way to determine if Skype4COM is still working.

All API documentation has been basically shredded; most if not all methods still work though.
Sorry for bringing out this old thread but just making it clear for future questions, Microsoft removed the ability to send messages from the Skype4COM Lib. At least, that's what I found when searching for some hours.
