Introduction

Hey there. If you're reading this thread, you're probably new to the Anime Adventures section. This thread will explain exactly how this section works, what the rules are, what you should keep in mind and which threads to read before you start posting in the Anime Adventures section. This thread was made to be a guideline for newer members of the Anime Adventures section who have questions regarding the section. Please redirect members to this thread if you see them making any mistakes.

What is the AA section?

The Anime Adventures section is a section that is mostly dedicated to anime and manga, however those topics aren't the only ones that you are allowed to discuss in here. It's allowed to post about anything related to the Japanese culture in the Anime Adventures section. In fact, you can post more than just that. It's allowed to make threads and posts about topics like:

• Anime
• Manga
• Visual Novels
• Light Novels
• Drawing (Japanese-styled)
• Doujinshi
• Japan in general
• Vocaloids
• J-Pop
• K-Pop
• Cosplay
• Figurines
• Japanese Games

The Anime Adventures is visited by many members of Hack Forums. Some are members that have been active in the section for ages, and others are members that post from time to time. Don't refrain yourself from posting in here.

What are the rules of the AA section?

When posting in the Anime Adventures section you should always follow the standard Hack Forums rules and etiquette which will be quoted below.
Hack Forums Rules & Etiquette (Click to View)

Hack Forum Rules
1. Members are not allowed to engage in threatening behavior toward other members. This includes flaming. Also threats to steal accounts, dox, or swat. This includes any on-site material such as posts, PMs, or profiles.
2. No short, low quality posts like "bump", "lol", "roflmao", "thanks" and any repeated characters to defeat the min character count.
3. Don't attempt to infect members with trojans, viruses, or backdoors.
4. No direct links to infected downloads in posts or profiles.
5. No posting of personal information that isn't yours. Privacy is to be respected here. This includes any passwords, logins or dumps.
6. Signature images can be no larger than 650x200 pixels and 500k size. Animated gifs should not be annoying.
7. You cannot ask for or offer reputation in posts, signatures, or PM. This includes encouragement like "rep is appreciated".
8. No adult images, adult links, or adult account trading.
9. Multiple accounts will not be allowed unless you are reporting your original account as hacked. Ban evading will result in the permanent closing of your old account and new accounts. No exceptions.
10. Advertising of competing sites is not allowed. This refers to any website with a hacker forum that's similar to HF or has a relatively similar forum structure. Advertising includes signatures, PMs, profiles, and posts.
11. No posting of fake programs.
12. No threads or posts for donation begging. This includes loan requests.
13. All blackhat hacking activity listed on that linked page is forbidden.
14. Read the violations for profile policies and rules in that help doc.
15. No political or religious expression in your profile. This includes user titles, signatures, and avatars.
16. We do not allow site goals or achievements in signature this includes but not limited to posts, reps, upgrades, and groups memberships.
17. Any rules posted in the forums header must also be reviewed. Some forums have special policies that must be adhered to. Don't post in any forum without reading them.
18. Any marketplace type threads must be in the Marketplace area. A three day ban is the penalty for wrong forum posting marketplace threads. No warning will be given.

Posting Etiquette of Hack Forums
1. Post in the correct category. Read the forum descriptions if you are confused.
2. Use good grammar. Basically start sentences with a capital and end it with punctuation.
3. Don't double post. That's when you post one after another instead of editing your existing first post.
4. Don't cross post. That's when you repeat a post in multiple threads or categories.
5. Create relevant subjects for threads. Shit like "OMG" for a subject is immature and asinine.
6. When posting content from another site, credit the site; use quotes and link to original content (unless it is a competing forum, in which case you shouldn’t be posting the content).
7. No "Post Here and PM me" threads will be allowed. This includes "Post Here and I'll PM You" or any "Post to PM" threads.
8. Be kind to others. How hard is it not to be an asshole?
9. Act like you're older than 16 even if you aren't.

Besides those rules you shouldn't worry about any other special rules in the Anime Adventures section. There are a few things you should keep in mind that you will be informed about in the next chapter of this guide.

Are there any important things I should know before posting here?

Yes there are. You should remember the things I'm about to list and try to follow these guidlines as closely as possible to prevent low quality content and flaming problems.

1. You should not post on threads that have been inactive for a very long time
2. You should use the search function before creating a thread to see if your question has already been answered
3. You should not have discussions unrelated to Anime Adventures outside the Anime Adventures lounge thread
4. You should report any inappropriate threads using the report button
5. If you are unable to report a thread due to time restrictions, you should PM a staff member or Tasemu
6. You should look for any threads dedicated solely to the discussion of a certain anime before creating a thread about it. Most of these threads are labeled with a [Discussion] tag in the title

Excellent guide man. I lol'd when you linked the Naruto thread under the important threads we should read before posting though haha. Only thing that is bothering me is:

Please fix that my OCD is kicking in T_T

It's important because that's actually the only thread needed in here to talk about Naruto. There have been many different Naruto threads lately.

Also, the "should" is supposed to be like that to fit in with the colors of the AF header. I'll check if it looks better in blue in a moment, but it might ruin the alignment.

I can't disagree there. I just found it funny is all.

And I see what you mean. I didn't notice the alignment at first glance.
