I was asked, "What purpose does HackForums serve for you?"

This was a really sad week for HF. This member showed extreme dedication to the site and even went as far as to write this quality feedback thread not too long ago.

I've only been here for a short while, but HackForums affects you more than you would ever think when you first sign up; it becomes a community you identify with. In many cases, we spend more time in this community than we do with the community where we reside. More than any other site, I feel that you can establish an identity and reputation for yourself on this forum. Everyone is given the opportunity to start with a clean slate here, and from there you can make a name for yourself.

After posting for a while, you start to connect with other users. Before you know it, you have some of those users on your buddy list. Later, you may even have some new friends on Skype or other social media platforms. Whatever brings us here, whatever corner of the forum we explore, we all share a common interest of HackForums. And through that, we're able to discuss a variety of topics while enjoying each other's company. What originally brings us here isn't usually what keeps us here. It's the people that keep us coming back.

It's not just Grin that disappears with this ban; it's every thread and post he could have helped contribute to this forum. After all the dedication Grin put into this site, he has lost everything. And with that, HackForums loses a piece of itself.

I cried while reading the last part.
The grave dig is real holy shit. No one cares. He deserved the ban and many people were waiting for that day to come
Is Grin permanently banned? If yes, then that would suck. Grin may have scammed that dude, but he contributed more to the community (not to Omni, but the actual community itself including noobs) than roughly 95% of the members.

If grin pays him back and it's confirmed, then he will re open his account. Until then he's banned and if he comes back he will have -540~ rep ayyy
Yes, he lost everything due to his thoughtless actions and costing a member $800 without being considerate enough to treat the member with respect after doing so.

You can still chat with him on skype - or he will probably be on a new account with a new IP soon enough considering he will have 540 rep negative.

Just because you were a useful member doesn't mean you can do anything without punishment.
