Any HF members own any fast cars?

Believe it or not, food is quite expensive. Maybe not on base but who eats on base constantly? Whatever the case, I hope all goes well for him.

GT-R's are fun, fast, and cheap. The interior is basic. Lets not forget it is a Nissan after all. Have you driven a GT-R on a track? It is intense and an experience I recommend everyone give a shot.
This is America, the land of debt. Anyway his base pay is most likely $35K-$45K then he also gets bonuses on top of that meant for food, clothing, housing and so on. If he pays 12K/year out of his base pay and is still able to pay for everything else he needs with his bonuses and a little bit of his base pay then there shouldn't be an issue. Eating on base is like $10/day (maybe his base cooks great food?), they also have their own stores that are tax free and not as expensive as local markets.

Fun, fast and cheap doesn't shout reliable. I haven't driven a GTR but raced one on a track along with some porches in my Jag and we were all keeping pace.

I like being able to drive my car without it driving itself.
the GTR are nice, but they just feel so plastic.

I don't like that parts aren't interchangable between years and everything is overpriced because Japan, because racecar, because GTR.

I love exotic cars to death but have no use for them unless I moved to some place like Florida or Nevada. Can't justify spending 100K+ on a car I can only use for two-three seasons. I'd rather have a collection of built trucks like Heavy D. 😝

Heres my car, some love it, some hate it. Probably will be getting bags this spring

I'm not a big car guy I'm more into the diesel truck scene but what's not to like about your car? it's nothing to be ashamed of.

Cummins, and It would be the second diesel I would want, I am more of a duramax guy. Cummins make great power but the dodge trucks lack interior and exterior components so they fall apart rather fast. The transmissions on them aren't right they won't last the life of a cummins.

Good luck with that IFS unless you're not into mods. Did you see the new Dodge grills? Looks like something that fell off a prius. 🤦‍♂

Yeah lol.

Saved up my money I earn in Basic Training / OSUT and always eat at the defac since it's free, been in the army for a year and been saving up. I joined at a SPC. I got extra duty pay for Airborne and received my back pay before I purchased the GTR for Airborne and as a PVT in basic till 2015. Put my money down and already had a 750 ish credit score :)

Don't know where you are getting your cheap from. Sure the car is cheap but maintenance and shit breaking isn't. That's why you see people in Evo's and STI's because they can be GTR power but cost lest to repair or maintain. AKA a poor mans GTR.

Like I said before, GTR's are fucking AMAZING but owning one would be a straight money pit if you decide to mod it. I'd love to DD a GTR but on the track I prefer the OG manual gear box. Using a flappy paddle just doesn't tickle my balls.

Good luck with what? Duramax is the fastest out of the three and our transmission is god like. There's not a single thing on a ford that I'd want.

what turbo kit is on the FRS? and just wondering what the boost is at.
dude in toledo was the first to make a production-kit for those, and he only sold like 23 before he got fed up making them :p
but I watched that dude strip the gears on his trans twice at mylan dragway haha, those glass transmissions aren't made to launch :D

I'd go with the catty personally. Luxury is a beautiful thing.

I've considered selling my Volvo and going cheaper though lol
