Security Measure for IP Changes

Don't really mind this. I already have to re-login to everything else.

Just be happy you're not in India where you may have an IP change every few hours. :)

I was wondering when this would happen.

I think we may get to the point where it should log out after X minutes of inactivity (maybe 60?).

I am in India 😭 That means I will have to login every few hours due to dynamic IP changes.

Anyways, I believe that this is needed for security of HF and it's members.

Well, I don't have any problem from logging in each time my ip changes.✌
This may be far fetched and already in effect, but... Locking mentor login IP's is probably another good precaution to take to avoid another incident like this happening. It will be annoying for the mentors with dynamic IP's but it's always better safe than sorry.

I believe this is a good idea, even if it might be an annoyance for some users (including myself). But I'd rather have that than someone getting scammed due to a shithead.
I've been a victim of cookie stealing on other forums when I was a lot younger.

I know better now, nice feature.

When I was staff about 3/4 of us had dynamic IP's. It's not viable at all.

Forget your password and reset it and change it whenever you need to login again.

Lol. I was being sarcastic. I just have the temp password from my email saved. I am fairly aware of what I download so I don't believe I have any stealers of some sort stealing my passwords. This new log out for different IP will be a bit frustrating but something to get use to.
Great security measure to implement but will be quit annoying for me because I am always browsing HF on my mobile data, school and at home LOL

You'll get used to it after a while buddy, trust me.

This will be inconvenient as fuck since I swap back and forth between PCs here, at work, and on mobile lol. Still, it's a pretty necessary change. As much of a pain in the ass as it will be, I'm glad we have this.
I was wondering why I was logged out of hf, at first I was like gg compromised

You are not the only one bhai. I have dynamic IP too and Omni is right. Guess we will have to live with multiple login sessions everyday. sigh

Good thing, we will see less scams.
Can it be made regional or only if there's a change in all 4 octets? This is seriously a pain. ;-;
