My group SF has 2 more SF's within it. I can't move threads amongst them anymore.

Guess I'll be giving Roger a shout when I need something done now. xD

Edit: Can't view Thread Notes anymore either. 😭

Oh shoot. I hadn't even thought of how it would affect group owners. Ouch. 😟

Probably should be enabled for group members to move their threads only within their subforum, for convenience.

That would be awesome.

They couldn't move them publicly or they'd get a permissions denied error.
I tried it a few times a while back.

Yep.

We used to be able to move threads to any forum on HF until Tibit got hacked, which was when those permissions were removed.

After that we only had access to "Lounge Move" which lets us move threads to the lounge.

After all the Morchid drama happened, we are no longer able to move threads anywhere.
I guess this was justified with the recent issue.

I don't get it

Like actually have to know these people, payroll and all. We all know Omni makes enough

Because people are willing to do it for free. Also staff members are paid, I just don't think it's a very formal payment.
It's still relatively easy to revert what happened, and if he's making it easier yet, then it shouldn't be an issue if someone does it again.
Good going, boss. Will definitely put a limit to the whole mod rampancy thing!
I see no problems with this, just as long as people can start posting in the right section.

Staff are not paid on HF. Each staff member is a volunteer.

Joining Staff 🤝
Wait what? But this means only you can move threads now because you're the only admin at the moment. Don't you think it's only going to add up to your daily works?

I personally think atleast Site Staffs should have the power to move threads.

Staff are not mentors or sections moderators, staff can still move threads. :)

No. Staff members are also paid now.

Actually this is more possible since group owners do not have moderator permissions in the public forum areas. So they can't really do the same amount of damage that is possible from a Mentor who might have access to multiple sections.

Staff permissions were not changed.
