It depends on how fast you need it. On March 21st Apple is releasing some new stuff so i'd wait it out.
Lovely day here in the Sunshine

The XPS has a 6th gen, 3.2GHz core i7, compared to the Macbook's turboboost to 3.1GHz. And I found my touchcreeen useful in situations where I need to take visual notes like drawing diagrams and such, theres great software that makes use of the touch feature for this.

I'd lean towards the MacBook Pro. I also have one.. & use it for school and I love it. I've done a little research and not many people are happy with the XPS and as you said earlier the touchscreen is useless.
MBP is reliable and great.. I use mine for regular school shit plus I'm running 3 VM's on it for different classes and still runs really smooth. ![]()
I use my MacBook Pro and am also in college, and I do a lot of video editing and graphic design and runs flawlessly. Doesn't make a sound either while multitasking.
Plus Apple seems to be the go to for college kids because of the design, how it goes right along with the iPhone, and many other reasons. Good luck bro. This too. The 13" retina is perfect for me, I've seen others with the 15" and it just seems too big. If I do go for the Macbook I will definitely be getting the 13". The 15" is too big and too expensive. ![]() |
