Clique: Welcome this weeks edition of the news, how are ya doing dude? Night Fury: Great, Clique, thanks for asking. How about yourself?
Clique: Doing pretty good dude thanks. Any shoutouts before we begin? Night Fury: There's no need for shoutouts. A lot of people on HF are important to me, and they all know who they are. I dare not risk missing anyone by individually listing them out.
Clique: Sounds fair. How'd you stumble upon HF in the first place? Night Fury: I joined back in late 2013 during the Christmas holiday. I had this idea that if I found a shorter name while playing in games like Call of Duty, it would be harder for the enemy to see the red name above my character. Eventually, I found a gamertag and then proceeded to take a long break from HF. I'd jump on from time to time to see if there was anything new going on in the gamertag marketplace, but generally I stayed very inactive until last September. Last September, I decided that I wanted to be a part of a community. I had a few options, but I decided I wanted to dedicate my time towards HF. The common section really struck my interest (SRPP), but knowing that coding and GFX sections existed on the site meant this place could offer a lot in terms of personal development. Although I have yet to be actively involved in those sections, I'm hoping to one day spend more time on the tech-centric tabs, but the common and group sections are so much fun. I quickly learned that the HF community is a real charm. It's easy to get distracted here, and overall, HF is something I enjoy doing in my free time. Sometimes my free time is spent towards personal development, but other times I simply like to shoot the breeze. The people are the reason I keep coming back.
Clique: What's your opinion on groups? Do you feel they serve a purpose or mainly just a way to make a quick buck? Night Fury: The groups are what the owners make them. If the groups wish to have a purpose, the owners have to give them a strong directive. They act as a true test of leadership for those who buy them. For the ones that end up becoming discouraged or disinterested due to the group veering too far from its purpose, they sell their group. A group has the potential to be more than just a flashy userbar, but it takes extremely strong leadership and massive dedication to the cause. Keeping members in line is probably one of the hardest parts, as those sections are not monitored nearly as much as the public tabs. However, I must say that some groups merely wish to offer a relaxed environment for their members. It's great if they wish to do that, but I feel many leaders start to question if they made a rationally justified $8,000 purchase. When their doubts overcome their justifications, the group is put back up for sale.
There is another side to this coin, though. If executed properly, they are a great way to achieve your goals and meet new people along the way. They allow you to grow closer to other users because of that relaxed environment they promote. You are amongst peers who are not seeking drama, and for that reason, groups offer a side to HF that might not be seen otherwise. I believe everyone on HF should try to apply for a group, as no matter who you are, there is a niche for you.
Lastly, I'll say that many groups try to sell an image of who and what they are. The way I've found to understand really how they are is to observe the way their members post. Beyond friends that are added because of their ties to the owner/leadership, the users accepted into groups are thought to be in alignment with the group's purpose. Those members are a billboard for that group. Not only must the applicant sell himself to the group, but the group must also sell itself to the applicant. It's a good reminder to both parties that they must offer value. A name or air of exclusivity do not alone deem a group to be of high quality. Pride is acceptable, but no group justifies arrogance on HF.
Clique: Are you currently in school or working? Night Fury: I have just finished my schooling. For that reason, I am planning to soon have a job in the tech industry. In my experience, learning never really stops during your lifetime. I may find myself going back to school after work if I wish to learn more, but I will use HF as the determinant of that. If I find interest in coding, formal classes may be the next step. Otherwise, I will dedicate my time to other interests while remaining active, albeit to a lesser extent, on HF.
Clique: What inspired your name? What does it mean? Night Fury: My name was inspired by the movie "How to Train Your Dragon." Dragons are generally cool, so I thought it'd be fun to use a name from a movie I'd seen a few months prior. On top of that, I'm a big fan of the writer's work on this series.
When it comes down to it, it is merely an online alias. If you've known me long enough on a personal level, you may even address me by my first name. However, since I needed something to go by on HF, Toothless the dragon's species didn't seem like too bad of a choice. It's all in good fun.
Clique: What else do you outside of the forums? Night Fury: I'm a big fan of outdoor activities. Whether it be hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, surfing or anything else, I'm usually willing to do it. Playing music is also part of my life, and something I enjoy doing from time to time. In the future, I hope to pick up aviation.
Clique: What instrument do you play? Night Fury: I've been a long-time piano player. At this point, it's probably been 10 years of playing the piano. It's something where the time you dedicate determines what you'll get out of it. If a piece is difficult, you will have to dedicate major time to perfecting it. Every piece brings its own challenge.
Clique: Respect for keeping at it for all that time. We just about covered everything today -- anything you'd like to say before we're finished? Night Fury: Thank you, I appreciate it. No, we've covered enough. Thank you for taking some time from your day to interview me.

Fatal explosion hits transit hub in Turkish capital Ankara
Due to a car bomb explosion in Ankara, at least 34 people have died. The Turkish health minister verified the number of casualties and the governor's office has also verified that the cause of the explosion was a car bomb. Additionally, 125 people were placed in hospitals for further treatment. 19 of the 125 people were in a serious condition. Local broadcaster TRT says the car exploded near a transport hub that's in close proximity to multiple administrative buildings. According to TRT, the area was crowded when the bomb went off.
Trump: I 'should get credit, not be scorned' for tone of events
Donald Trump is not one to steer away from the media. There has been more protesters and violence at his campaign events lately and Trump is blaming it on fellow presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. Trump has said that he "should get credit, not be scorned" for his handling of the tension during his campaign events. He has also accused Bernie Sanders of lying on his Twitter account by tweeting out "Bernie Sanders is lying when he says his disruptors aren't told to go to my events. Be careful Bernie, or my supporters will go to yours!" and there have been reports of people taking this as a threat to Sanders. However, Trump himself denies that the tweet was a threat.
Iran 'risks EU sanctions over missile tests'
Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault declares Iran could face European sanctions due to testing ballistic missiles if deemed necessary. Iran was criticized earlier this month when it launched numerous missiles as part of a military drill. Iranian companies already had sanctions imposed on them earlier this year in January due to a similar incident. This sanction prevented the companies and the people linked to them from using the banking system of the United States. The US has informed the UN Security Council of the matter and wants it to be discussed on Monday.
Pioneer of Modern Email, Ray Tomlinson, Has Passed Away
Raymond Tomlinson, widely regarded to be the primary father of e-mail communications and the reason why most of us use the '@' symbol nearly everyday, has died, his employer said this past Sunday. He worked at BBN, now part of Raytheon, on systems that seem crude today but laid the foundation of what we now know as the Internet. Email existed in a limited capacity before Tomlinson in that electronic messages could be shared amid multiple people within a limited framework. Up until his invention in 1971 of the first network person-to-person email (ARPANET), there was no way to send something to a specific person at a specific address.
Seagate Debuts World’s Fastest NVMe SSD
Not too long ago we saw the release of a compact, 2.5-inch SSD with a massive capacity of 15.36 TB, courtesy of Samsung, fueling the dream that we will see higher capacity consumer SSDs in the near future. Seagate announced a new PCI Express (PCIe) flash drive this week at the Open Compute Project (OCP) Summit that it claims meets OCP specifications and delivers throughput of 10 gigabytes per second. The new full-height, half-length PCIe add-in card — which Seagate expects to ship this summer — bundles multiple gum-stick sized, energy-efficient, consumer-grade M.2 solid-state drives (SSDs). The Seagate PCIe card accommodates 16-lane PCIe slots and supports non-volatile memory express (NVMe).
NASA Successfully Tests Deep Space Rocket Engine
NASA announced that it has successfully tested the first deep space RS-25 rocket engine for 500 seconds — a critical milestone that means the rocket is almost ready to carry human occupants into deep space. This is the same engine that will eventually send astronauts on the first deep-space mission in more than 45 years. It is a key part of NASA’s new Space Launch System (SLS), aimed at taking humans to nearby asteroids and, after that, the red planet. Four of these engines power the SLS — making up a combined thrust of two million pounds.

Halo 5: Guardians latest free DLC has been pushed to April. For months now, 343 has been offering DLC free of charge. Other offers in the past include, The Battle of Shadow and Light, Cartographer's Gift, Infinity's Armor, and Hammer Storm. These DLC releases are not random, they are usually given out to players around the middle of each month. 343 hopes that everyone will accept their apology, as they release trailers and teasers of new upcoming events that will take place with the release of the latest DLC, Ghosts of Meridian. Other releases for the following months have been released too and can be seen here. An article was made a few weeks ago in regards to new updates. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Delayed to May 2016
DICE and Electronic Arts have posted on their website that the sequel to the 2008 action-adventure platform video game, Mirror's Edge, has been delayed until May 2016. Originally supposed to be released on Feb. 23, the game will stay with its roots; no gun combat, with single-player modes, and multiplayer leaderboards. Back in 2008, the "parkour-driven" game did not sell as well as EA had hoped it would. Not much is known about Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. No storyline has really been shared or released and it has been pretty much a mystery to fans. Faith, the main character in the first Mirror's Edge will make a return, that is for sure. All the fun parkour, dashing, and diving memories you had with Faith can now be re-lived. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is now set for release on May 24, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Checkout the trailer below!
How a Typo Stopped Hackers from Stealing $1 Billion from Bank
It can be said that everyone who has ever sent a message to someone has had a typo before. What would your reaction be if you accidentally had a typo in the name of the account you were transferring money to? Hackers using a Bangladesh Bank's SWIFT code were successful on their first four attempts into transferring money they had stolen from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The fifth attempt, however, was very unsuccessful and embarrassing to say the least! The goal of this "mission" was to transfer over $1 billion dollars over to said accounts. $81 million made it through with success, and it was the final attempt where the hackers knew they messed up. In an attempt to obtain $20 million more, the hackers were in the process of transferring the money to a Sri Lankan non-governmental organization called the Shalika Foundation. The hackers had made the typo of writing "Fandation" instead of "Foundation". How silly is that! The staff at the Deutsche Bank had sent out an inquiry, as well as the Federal Reserve Bank of New York to try and confirm that these transfers were legit. The hackers have not been caught. The $81 million have not been recovered either and if all the transfers had gone successfully, the unknown hackers would have gotten away with over $950 Million.
Cisco Routers Infected with Backdoor Malware Called SYNful
Cisco Systems, a very popular technology company that was founded in the US, has just had their routers infected with malware. The malware which is named "SYNful Knock" is a huge security threat to the company and its users. The malware infection can be received from illegally tampering with your Cisco router device firmware. "The malware is inserted through changing the router’s firmware image which stays even after they are rebooted. There are four countries that comprises of India, Mexico, Ukraine and the Philippines that has reported 14 instances of malware presence in Cisco routers particularly in Cisco 1841 and Cisco 3825 router." With this malware being on a device it can steal sensitive information from you and even make its way back to Cisco's organization. This is definitely something you do not want to mess with! Another source has shared that this is not the only technology company who have been recently compromised. Belkin routers also have vulnerabilities which can be led to an attack too.
