What to do with people who ask via PM to remove rep?

Guys, read the damn thread, he's not asking if revenge rep is allowed. He's asking if asking the person to remove it is allowed.

That is a bit contradictory though, asking for rep to be removed would mean that this rule is invalid:
Quote:Rep Coercion: Using intimidation, threats, or blackmail to get reps added or removed.
Sometimes a fail leads to the solution.

There's no option to delete your reputation anymore.
And there is a difference between asking and intimidating.

I know there is a difference, but asking to get rep removed by giving rep to said person is a form of intimidation.

Asking would be sending a PM to the person and asking for it to be removed.

Isn't that technically asking for reputation or rep Coercion as it states in the help documents?

How should I report this? Which staff member should I PM to report it for this kind of stuff since there isn't a reputation report system as of yet.

I don't think its reportable.
It is not directly asking for rep, it's asking to remove a given rep.
And by offering to remove theirs if you remove yours seems like he wants to resolve the given rep?

Revenge rep is allowed on HackForums!

Yeah, I get what you are trying to say but that is usually how it works.
As I said, the other day a member PM'd me asking if I could remove the -3 I gave him like 1 year ago.
I decided to ignore this message. But if he feels to revenge rep me, he's allowed to do so.

He can give you revenge rep as long as that message doesn't include asking for the -3 rep to be removed or at least, that is what I am trying to figure out.

Some people maybe see negative reputation as a form of intimidation.

There seems to be a grey area (do you get it? Like neutral rep? no, ok) now that you can't delete reputations.

Not going to bother reading the rest of the comments but omni has stated previously mentioned that if someone negs you and then offers to remove it IF you remove yours, it's bribery/blackmail and against the rules.
still lurkin. still bitcoin cashin.
