Can i ask. Why do people keep so many dupes even when they're fully evolved?

Transferring them and then evolving them for exp or higher CP rolls.

When I was level 14, my highest was 300 cp, believe it or not.
But then suddenly I caught a 550-600 cp psyduck, evolved it into a golduck and now it's 1250ish. I was pretty happy.

Also hatched a pinsir of 1100 cp from a 10km egg.

Oh alright lawl will do but in my area fucking only drowzee spawns its so annoying man I want to get other pokemons with high cp and I have like 9 eggs atm but I cant go walking around because I dont have unlimited data and my iphone will die so fast thats why i put it on airplane mode god the struggle on being a pokemon master is real

Dude my area is all drowzee, rattata, weedle and pidgey. I feel like its too accurate to represent my city.
I get the occasional Squirtle outside my house but just out my WiFi range
