Spoiler (Click to View)On November 22, 2010, Japan was hit by missile strikes, a terrorist act that fortunately did not harm anyone, becoming known as "Careless Monday." Quickly forgotten, society goes on about their lives as normal.

During her graduation trip to America three months later, friendly college student Saki Morimi's life is forever changed when she finds herself saved from unexpected trouble by Akira Takizawa. Takizawa is cheerful, but odd in many ways—he is stark naked and suffers from amnesia, believing himself to be a terrorist. In addition, he possesses a strange cell phone loaded with 8.2 billion yen in digital cash.

Despite Takizawa's suspicious traits, Saki quickly befriends the enigmatic young man. However, unbeknownst to her, this is the beginning of a thrilling death game involving money, cell phones, and the salvation of the world. Higashi no Eden chronicles Saki's struggle to unravel the mysteries behind her savior, while Takizawa himself battles other individuals armed with similar cell phones and returning memories which reveal his possible connection to the event from months ago.

If a stranger asked you what would you do with $10 billion in order to save the nation, what would you do? This odd predicament is where we find main, amnesiac character, accompanied by a girl who happened to be standing in the right place at the wrong time. This anime does well with its story, leaving an interesting impression for those who pay attention to the details. The only negative from the story is that this anime is only 11 eps, with two films following them up (however the two films help wrap up the story, so in essence this could have easily been a ~20 ep anime).

The art and music are very pleasing, the OP is nice and while CGI is used in a good amount it is done well enough to be enjoyable. While the main two characters still retain center stage, there is a wide array of secondary and supporting characters that allow the anime to continue to be interesting. Definitely check this anime out, was pretty well done imo, as for the films the first one was meh, but if you get through it you will be rewarded with the second one ;)

Wow that was the fastest reply I've ever seen on a thread, gg, and ye I found it to be a really good anime. Reminded me of Zankyou no Terror but the story was probs a bit more interesting overall.

I really liked this anime.

I do thing the ending could have been better as I wasn't as interested in the route it went, but it was still good.

Really love Eden of the East. Seems like lately people have actually been having good taste on AA.
