Steins;Gate
*Yes there have been many threads on Steins;Gate, however none that I found we're made with similar format for these current threads, so I am making this one*
Synopsis (Courtesy of MAL): Spoiler (Click to View)The self-proclaimed mad scientist Rintarou Okabe rents out a room in a rickety old building in Akihabara, where he indulges himself in his hobby of inventing prospective "future gadgets" with fellow lab members: Mayuri Shiina, his air-headed childhood friend, and Hashida Itaru, a perverted hacker nicknamed "Daru." The three pass the time by tinkering with their most promising contraption yet, a machine dubbed the "Phone Microwave," which performs the strange function of morphing bananas into piles of green gel.
Though miraculous in itself, the phenomenon doesn't provide anything concrete in Okabe's search for a scientific breakthrough; that is, until the lab members are spurred into action by a string of mysterious happenings before stumbling upon an unexpected success—the Phone Microwave can send emails to the past, altering the flow of history.
Adapted from the critically acclaimed visual novel by 5pb. and Nitroplus, Steins;Gate takes Okabe through the depths of scientific theory and practicality. Forced across the diverging threads of past and present, Okabe must shoulder the burdens that come with holding the key to the realm of time.

Anime Trailer:
What happens when a mad scientist out of his own diabolical genius accidentally creates a time machine and unravels a wave of repercussions onto the space/time continuum? Surprisingly more than you'd imagine.
Steins;Gate attempts to develop a unique plot centered around this fact, as humans are intrinsically incapable of completely understanding the very concept of time and reality. From an objective standpoint, this anime does its due diligence to encompass proven/well-accepted theories of time travel and science, whilst adding its own twists and insights to the story with other minor but crucial factors. The art and sound are visually and audibly pleasing to the senses.
Character becomes the center stage for this anime, as right from the get-go they are well-defined and likable. The only draw-back I would say is that the only character we truly see mature throughout these 24 eps would be main character Okabe, however given his position its easily understandable. Truly an anime with a one of a kind story and will keep you on the edge of your seat, definitely one to recommend ;)

I just came to the grueling realization that I've never seen the movie. Now I'm more than likely going to watch the anime again. It has been three years since I seen it after all.
The anime is pretty good with good character development, a plot that has twists, but has a slow start. Not too much happens the first 11 episodes or so except a couple things and that may leave many viewers to keep the anime on hold
Steins;gate is my favorite anime by far, to this date (as embarrassing as it is) is the only anime to make me tear up, when those movie credits rolled I just could not contain myself.
Amazing anime that by far surpasses my expectations, it's everything I hoped for and I honestly think the slow start made it better. 10/10 would watch again
Extremely good anime. Too bad a lot of my friends never finished it because of the slow start.
