Adding a monero award and allowing it for upgrades would make people purchase XMR coins, thus adding more coins to circulation and pumping up the value.

It would be a smart move to allow it on HF.

Omniscient, only a select few here will give you an opinion that matters. Everyone else will just tell you what they think you want to hear. You could make an award for "Racist" and 90% of the members here would root for it.

Was reading about this coin couple of weeks ago. Very interesting stuff. Which Bitcoin was more like this...however, Bitcoin is already big enough and it would be a pain the ass to probably have all the online coin users switch over to this from big boss Bitcoin...Look at it this way, as a concept like Facebook vs Ello (another former popular Facebook rival that was short lived).

I'd probably wait until the coin's popularity increases before adding an award.

and it's not a pain in the ass at all i can exchange btc to xmr blindly on shapeshift.io or poloniex

and why would you advise implementation when it's more popular, it makes no sense. the more affordable it is (right now) the more coins are to be made on the receiver's end - so it's most profitable to accept the currency right now. actually, it would have been better last week because fourfold the money would have been made, but it's never too late.

I wonder what would happen if putting a unknown altcoin as an award happened...
Omni buys a large amount, sets the award price @ $20 and next thing you know price is on the moon due to so many people exchanging just to get the award.
Interesting that the demand for awards are so high that a situation like that is very viable.

easily manipulable price = cheap awards for Minimalist
