The laptop will be mainly used for daily activity, but some Visual Studio and Photoshop projects as well.
So what do you guys think? Should I go for 8GB or 16GB. I already determined that I am going to need the i7 version but am doubting between how much RAM to get.
Thanks in advance, 🤝

Depends on how much more it costs. I know that Dell includes some proprietary parts so they may have soldered the RAM onto the board, making it harder to upgrade.
I don't middleman any deals on- or off-site. Please don't message me requesting my past services and certainly don't fall for anybody who claims to be me.

Currently the 8GB model is around £1200,- and the 16GB model £1429,-
You are correct in stating the RAM isn't easy upgradable.

If I were you, I'd go for the 8GB model.
Or go for a different laptop

As addition to what minimalist said, also think about resell value. It will be much easier to sell a laptop with 16GB of ram in a few years than it is to sell one with 8GB.

Just like any Dell machine.
Always go for more RAM.

I just want the Dell XPS 13 Developer's Edition so bad. But I don't think the developers edition has 16GB inbuilt RAM by default

true, i don't fuck with dell
So to balance the opinions,
i have a 16GB RAM DELL myself (not laptop) and if you are not planing to run BF1 + DOOM + FALLOUT4 while you code/design
keep your 200£
