Unless you can solve it with paypal, then you should go to court IMO. HF would be cooperate with court about login history and any possible detail of him. Just my opinion. Sorry for your loss op.

Meaning that the original owner was probably ratted, as there was probably no confirmation required. Meaning that it's probably gonna look like he sent the money since IP's and all the info will remain the same. If that's the case, chances are OP will win. I really feel bad for the guy who got his account stolen if what I'm predicting is true.
