Sound card not working properly?

Hi

Sometimes there is this static noise in my headset (with volume turned up, but nothing playing).. Like really high and annoying. Then it suddenly stops for a while and start again later. It's a completely new computer and would be sad to already send it to rep.. Can I test anyway for defections on the sound card or?

Also, sometimes the people I talk with say they can't hear me and suddenly they can later again. Can this me the same issue? (As sound and mic are plugged in next to eachother.)

Thanks in advance
Fairly sure it could be your headset that's causing the problem not your sound card.
yea if you change ur headset and noise still persists then it will be problems with your sound card
Try out another headset if the same problem occurs , download the latest drivers, if it still occurs download Realtek HD audio manager. If it still occurs send it back.

The problem persists. Only when using the front aux port, not the back one. Still the soundcard?

Thanks
