Out of curiosity, is it illegal to exploit a vulnerability or it's the business's fault for not securing it properly?

Well supposedly you make a simple site where you get +1 points after clicking a button but you decide to send the same request programmatically and infinitely (Nov 28, 2016 12:36 PM)Vitani Wrote: Without permission from the owner of the thing you are exploiting it is indeed illigal. It's as simple as that. Shouldn't there be some legal precautions like ToS or something for it to be considered illegal though? ![]()

Everything is legal. unless you get caught 🤝
Thats my philosophy. (Nov 28, 2016 12:36 PM)Ðr1ps Wrote: Shouldn't there be some legal precautions like ToS or something for it to be considered illegal though? There is most of the time, and even if there isn't there is still the law for that. In simple terms, it's illigal to break into something that is not yours. ![]() (Nov 28, 2016 12:52 PM)Vitani Wrote: There is most of the time, and even if there isn't there is still the law for that. Hm alright that should be enough to know, cheers. ![]() |
