What do you guys think? 🤝

Looks alright, you could improve it by adding more detail or using a different font
I like the overall concept of it.. But I'd personally find a different view for the background and get rid of the galaxy look and look for something that blends together well.
It really looks good and simple man.

Things seen here:
Oval sphere plays part in the "logo" aspect.
Font is alright I guess.
Gradient dark/light/dark lavender.

Few things that I'd add would include:

Vignette, lightly if anything

Drop Shadows, whether they're light, or sharp @ 1pt

A glimmer/shine by using a 2%-5% grey rectangle over the image, pen tool half or it or curve the rectangle, and tint properly to add the "shine" effect.

Maybe another layer with a black soft brush and airbrushing the edge of the image or using a frame-type border with rectangle. Similar to a vignette, just adds to the focal point.

A light stroke on the text would be nice also.

Maybe a different background, the clipping masked space theme gets used often, but I always enjoy it myself, again this is all your opinion.

Keep up the practice, I appreciate your hard work. :)

I actually made a video, you inspired me to show off some old practice :)

Let me know what you think and if you have any questions let me know, maybe it can help you learn something.

That reply just scooped you a +1. Glad to see people dedicating that much time simply to help someone!

On-Topic: I like the concept. I think you should change the font and possibly add a stroke to it.
Looks good! Don't worry about using other people's images for now, just focus on Photoshop or whatever you're using, and how to use it. Worry about the looks ;). I personally think that the shade of purple you chose does not flow well with the text's image. It's also normal to cut off too much extra space around the text. You're getting the idea, good job!
