Product Dispute

Scammed for 150$ by Marwix UID=1817532 | Delivered completely broken product

So a week ago I posted a thread looking for someone to sell me a silent miner.

https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5468324

The same day I got a PM from Marwix saying that he has an old silent miner project that just needs to be "refreshed". Unfortunately I don't have the PM anymore, I had to delete it because I had no space in my inbox.

After adding him on skype, I asked him if the project is completely functional because I wasn't sure what "refresh" is supposed to mean.

Next day:

After getting the project from him and noticing that the builder and the stub are both broken, I messaged him about it and he tried fixing some parts. The next days he sent me multiple versions which were all having some problems.

The last version that I got from him is this one, where the stub is also not working: https://i.imgur.com/F3HtMl8.png

Today I messaged him again and he's refusing to either fix it or refund me.

But when he sent you the pm offering his software, he mentioned that you would need to hire someone to fix it. He will prob post screenshots in a min.

1. When I sent you the PM, I stated that you would need to hire another coder to refresh the project. When I said "functional", I ment that the project was all ready to go because the code was all there but you would still to fix a couple of things.

2. I even offered to help you even though it wasn't a part of our deal. I managed to fix the project a little bit for you so you could proceed with working with it yourself but apparently you were still unhappy about it which I find disrespectful.

Proof of me helping you:
He didn't say "fix it", he said "refresh it". If you check the first screenshots from skype, when I asked him what that is supposed to mean he said it just needs a new UI.

Sorry OP but he did warn you beforehand selling the product.

This is exactly why I asked him what "refresh the project" is supposed to mean, so I can know if it's ready to go or needs to be re-coded.

It's not like there's 3-4 parts that need to be modified, but both the builder and the stub are completely broken and not working.

So what you really did was use a play on words to sell the product that you knew wasn't working, you intentionally left out that it wasn't working and said it'd need a "refresh". Definition of refresh: give new strength or energy to; reinvigorate. This needs more than more energy if the product isn't working, hope you get your money back OP.

The project was delivered to you, and I was nice enough to help you out which I did. Have in mind that this was NOT a part of our deal so you should be happy I still helped you out with a few parts so you could work with it yourself.

I love how you edited your post just a second ago from it saying that you need to modify it to make it work the way it should LOL.

You did help me as you should have, because you've sent me a broken product. The last version you sent me is still not working, the stub throwing this error:

I have to agree that you should have read the PM more clearly before buying the project. I believe its your own fault and he even helped you out but still you complained. He posted screenshots of him helping you out as well when it wasn't a part of your deal.

That was unnecessary information because it's already stated in one of his own screenshots. No need to bring it up twice.

When I asked him what "freshen it up" means, he said only that the UI needs to be changed.
He left Nightmare on his own. I did not remove him, I kinda believe it was just bad communication.

1) Buying code without knowing how to code is a bad idea. OS updates and conflicts with your system will cause malfunctions. There is no piece of software that doesn't need updates every now and then.
2) He already spent some hours trying to fix it. If he intented to scam you he would just block you. So, okay maybe the product he offered did not work as you expected it to work, but that does not mean you were scammed.
3) Troubleshooting is part of making money with computers.

I can second this I recruited Marwix into my Nefarious Sector he's a good guy and I don't believe his intention was to scam you. I do hope you two can find a resolution between you 🤝
