Looking to start a store to get some extra income on the side of what I am doing,

So shopify vs amazon or ebay, what is best?

What attracts more users?

But if you'd rather not invest a lot into advertising, a domain, monthly Shopify fees and etc, then eBay is great.
You don't really need advertising to sell something on eBay.

They ask too many questions if you're drop shipping.

Ebay has the worst fees known to man. Stay away from them at all costs.

I was just about to make a video about that topic, here in short:

eBay
- you don't need to drive your own traffic (at least in theory, usually you still need to pay something to get prefered listings here and there
- free

Amazon
- same as with eBay regarding traffic
- you are pretty safe in terms of payments (you are not as helpless when it comes to chargebacks etc. as on eBay/PayPal)

Shopify/Custom Store:
- full control on customer experience
- possibility to brand the whole store
- follow your own rules in terms of product types, presentation etc.

Even though Shopify requires more work (marketing!!!) its my favorite way to go. I have several thousands worth of stock in the Amazon warehouse because I also sell there, but I'm way more successful with my custom store(s).

Shopify seems the hardest but the best paying out in the long run ebay's easy though and idk about amazon.

I personally like ebay, and then I market to the customers I have already sold to and try to have them invoice payments to save on fees.

I sell different items and then advertise to previous users based on items they have already purchased. So if they buy a pair of shoes, I will offer similar shoes to them
