Ever read about terrorists and how at some point they were interviewed. Well, that's a bit like how it felt. They wanted to figure out my threat level, which is zero, but they still need to create a report. The clown who did do this should be looked at a lot more seriously. I don't know, but it should hit the news shouldn't it? Especially if he's underage. He tweeted at numerous services and made a direct threat against trump towers - From looking into the kid, he has a number of remote administration tools and has infected a number of people too, while I hope he doesn't spend a long time put away, I also do want for it to hit the news so people can get a news flash. It is a class E felony. Quote: The Secret Service is investigating two Twitter users who, apparently angered by the passage of the health care reform bill, took to the Internet Sunday to call for the assassination of President Obama.http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/health-car...d=10170233 (Dec 22, 2016 12:44 PM)Mr. Robot Wrote: I don't know, but it should hit the news shouldn't it? If he is over 18 he might spend some time in jail. Could hit the news though you are right. Depends on the circumstances of what they do to him.
Nowadays? I'm just here for the nostalgia.

It wasn't a "real" threat and nothing did come out of it. It's just online nerds doing online nerdy things. I'm sure they will just punish the kid with some juvenile time, maybe jail. The only main issue with making something like this public through the media is the following: Quote:According to the U.S. Attorneys' Manual, "Media attention given to certain kinds of criminal activity seems to generate further criminal activity; this is especially true concerning Presidential threats which is well documented by data previously supplied by the United States Secret Service. For example, in the six-month period following the March 30, 1981, attempt on the life of President Reagan, the average number of threats against protectees of the Secret Service increased by over 150 percent from a similar period during the prior year." For this reason, the agency recommends considering the use of sealed affidavits to keep news of threats from leaking to the press.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Threatenin...ted_States (Dec 22, 2016 12:42 PM)Egregious Jr. Wrote: Is this one of his other accounts? He's stolen or purchased a few non-upgraded accounts. Unsure if they are stolen via a RAT or bought cheaply. But the IP of the trolling posts matches the ISP and location and so that that's probably him. (Dec 22, 2016 12:51 PM)Omniscient Wrote: He's stolen or purchased a few non-upgraded accounts. Unsure if they are stolen via a RAT or bought cheaply. That's the issue if people don't secure their accounts and why it's important for people to enable 2fa. If your account is compromised, for example mine - and someone is on a proxy or VPN only to make threads onsite and off linking the two, I would therefor be involved. So while this thread is getting attention, guys update your password - check your computer for malware and enable 2fa. If you need help with 2fa, there are a number of threads, and I am more than happy to help you. (Dec 22, 2016 12:51 PM)Omniscient Wrote: He's stolen or purchased a few non-upgraded accounts. I hope he learns that swatting people will come back to bite you.

If they were upgraded this is a shining example of why 2FA should be activated when and where possible. Seems it was only non-upgraded accounts. Who knows though. Nonetheless, I'm sure he's not going to be here for quite some time. |
