As an American I tend to find our version of English a bit lazy. I much prefer the British version (THE OG VERSION) over ours.

I tend to use American spelling online, but if given a choice I'd use British. I also love Brit slang.

I'll admit that English is very lazy by comparison to the hundreds and thousands of languages out there, including dialects. No argument here.

But if we were to give proper credit to the original language then we'd have to call it West German-Scandinavian-French-Latin-Spanish-Old-Norman, etc, etc, etc. to give it proper credit.

Although U.S. American English is lazier, it's simpler to understand vocally than, let's say, Northern England, and I believe some area near the south eatern area where it sounds like garbled drunk talk. Like mumbling with a mouthful while holding a smoking pipe in your mouth.
