I'm excited to see all the entries! The Occult is a great section of a great group. Remember that when choosing the wildcard, you pick a subject that fits the Occult. You could always ask a Occult member if you're in doubt your wildcard subject fits.

I'm more of a novelist than a reporter but I might take a shot at this if I find the time.
You don't have to report on facts. The Occult includes a lot of open minded thinkers. As long as you bring your own opinion to certain subjects that you stand behind. An example, one of the latest threads is about Mesoamerican Mythology.
Might enter this in a second, I have a lot of opinions, so we'll see.
I will be exploring the possibility that 9/11 was carried out by the US Government themselves.
Can I post this in PM or must I post it out in the open?
Thanks for the opportunity, this sounds interesting.

Please post on the thread!
To start this off, I'd like to point out that 9/11 was an attack on the 11th of September 2001 on the Twin Towers in the United States of America. How did these planes fly into these buildings without the interference of the US Defense? Air Pilots were ordered to not interfere which could have potentially saved thousands of lives when on average planes which go off radar tend to be intercepted by the air defenses inside of the first 10 minutes.
Officials stated an attack like this could never had been anticipated when the FBI had been carrying out a formal investigation into the possibility of exactly this type of attack happening prior to 9/11. Had these officials been telling the truth, how come the 2 main suspects were named within hours of the attack?
My favorite moment was when George Bush spoke about watching the first plane hit the north tower when there was no live coverage of the plane hitting the tower anywhere.
Now, the pentagon had only 1 hole in it. A single hole for an entire airplane? The wings of the plane did no damage? What?
Those were my 'facts' which were memorized off by myself for the most part.
The following is simply my own theory.....
So, why did the US government want to do 9/11?
Well, this one is simple. The US government, throughout 2002, carried out a series of invasions on eastern Asia, where they stole oil from the nations of these terrorist, allowing the US to prosper. Protests regarding these invasions were obviously held, however nobody would really care because people just thought "oh well they attacked us first". This type of logic allowed the US government to takeover large areas of Asia which were rich with oil and bring it back to the US.
Hope you guys enjoyed reading this, I'm now tired and need to rest soon, please tell me your opinions on my theory!

the bin laden family have invested a lot of money into the US and have worked together for many many years. members of the bin laden extended family were actually in the US at the time of the attack im pretty sure... and were flown out of the country shortly after it.
i believe that 911 was done for a few reasons.
the building was riddled in asbestos and it was way cheaper for them to do this then to stop the work, dissect the building and do the necessary work needed to remove it. and Bush couldnt care less about thousands of innocent americans dying!
also they wanted a reason to start attacking, and 911 got all Americans in the mood to go and kill, even tho they were only attacking these countries for the oil.
but you got some good points bro, 911 will always be an interesting topic

In the process of finalizing my submission because it's a quite night.
We almost never stop and think how and where we got here. And I am not talking about the world as a whole, or fragments of society or anything like that, no. I’m talking about how frightening our daily relationships and communication pathways have been almost entirely consumed by technology. Think about it, a robot wakes you up, and the alarm clock was just the beginning, before it amalgamated with other stuff into your phone.
We are living in the age of possibilities. And those possibilities themselves are, in fact, technological possibilities. It would be remiss to cast aside the benefits and progress which technology has contributed to our lives. Man himself created the ability to fly using planes, cross uncharted water with boats, and channel the power of 300 horses into one single car engine, but all of this eventually comes at a cost. A cost which we have dearly paid for. Have we become too dependent on technology? There’s a large difference between being dependent on something, as opposed to being over dependent on something else. Look at it this way: Being dependent on something means that once it’s gone, it doesn’t necessarily leave any damaging or withdrawal-inducing effects on its host; but when the host is too dependent on that particular thing, its disappearance could spell an endgame to that host’s being.
According to an article by the New York Daily News, 84 percent of people surveyed in a new TIME Mobility Poll said they couldn’t go a single day without their mobile device in hand. If anything, this is a sobering statistic which reflects upon our current reality. I believe that people have become attached to their mobile phones to the extent which it can be compared to as an extra limb, overflowing with different functions, necessary to stimulate activity or perform complicated tasks. It has reached the point where restaurants are now advertising the non-availability of wifi to its patrons so that they engage in conversations with each other and communicate, rather than be idle, techno-zombies and stare at their screens all the time before the food finally arrives. It doesn’t persist in these places alone, though. It even happens at home. There are workplaces where the labor literally relies on computers and the internet to continue. If there’s a blackout or crash, no work for the rest of the day. So you tell me, how does an employee, working an 8-hour shift behind a blinding LED screen crash on their couch at the end of the day and scroll that same LED screen they were staring at early today? It’s crazy.
What’s even crazier is when there’s a newborn child in the family. In the past, pre-internet days, our parents took photos of us growing up using polaroids and older camera models, and everything was stacked in albums crammed with photos of us in diapers and eating ice cream with our hands. The first thing to happen once a baby’s born today, is getting their pictures publicized on Facebook and Instagram. It’s unreal, it’s disgusting and it’s screwed up. A baby’s image is now online, can be saved by anyone, and can be circulated and posted literally anywhere on the web. No longer are we conscious, ethical beings. We are egocentric monsters looking for a thrill. We don’t help that suicidal jumper, or that person stuck in a car accident, or help tsunami victims. No, we just want to capture the moment instead of living in it and experiencing it firsthand. 90% of Americans have a cellphone, it is nearly impossible to find someone so disconnected from society and the online world, not looking for that binary adrenaline rush which follows every touch and swipe. Most Americans today have smartphones which contain documents, phone numbers, GPS, and other capabilities. Capabilities which people depend on and cannot live without, because they forgot to remember, and just feed everything these days into a mobile device. Even students today can’t live without these smartphones. They use autocorrect, spell-checking, texting, and homework solving apps to get a GPA boost or even push their academic performance further. With millennials, it runs even further deeper and on an emotional level. Boyfriends and girlfriends break up with each other over texts and messages, sparing themselves the humiliation and emotions which come with a breakup. What’s even worse than all of this, is how we cope with tragedy online. The replies we get to see on posts such as “R.I.P Grandma” or “Save Aleppo” are just likes and sad faces now, no one really gives a damn about anything anymore, and it’s just virtual sadness and misery.
So, yeah, that’s basically everything I had to say about this particular subject and how dangerously addictive it has become. The addiction is real and how we’re dealing with it is even worse. Go out and enjoy the sunshine from time to time and remember to live. Disconnect and enjoy life, there’s no wifi where we’re going at the end of our lives.
