They do ban scammers, but I know there are times where they do not.

Moderators were more active years ago in the Marketplace, they had to check out each item placed in the premium seller section.

Like everything, the Reviewers were corrupt.
I know a handful of users that would accept $$ for better reviews.

I spoke to a few eBook sellers and marketplace sellers on here, you know some people go on leaked eBook sites and take old eBooks that used to be HF over 2 years ago and just give them a new title, they then go onto their btc or paypal and inspect element, ask a couple friends to inspect element their money as well and there you have a best selling product, same thing with ratings - they'll get their friend to give it a 5* rating.


I queried as to why premium sellers section has eBooks and was told I'd get destroyed by Omni if I was to question it.

Yea, I think the idea is the premium sellers section is a one stop selling area for all upgraded members. It just seems to add to the problem though, since everyone goes there to purchase things and nothing there is regulated.

I briefly spoke to Confound, a member of the Red Lions, tonight.
The Red Lions attempted to do a very, very similar thing as the Reviewers, but it was not successful as members did not find them trustworthy enough to receive free products. After hearing that the Red Lions were not trusted enough, I highly doubt that this idea would be successful if put into action. I still desire to own a usergroup one of these days, but my idea of revising and remaking the Reviewers has now been reconsidered as I do not see a bright future for it. That being said, this thread has served it's purpose.

I appreciate each and every reply that I have received on this thread. It has been great to see other members ideas on how to fix the marketplace. Perhaps one day some of those ideas will be implemented into Hackforums. Once again, thank you everyone.
