The U.S government, along with it's overseas foreign allies, has an active hand in popularity of popular culture by manipulating the content distributed to sway the minds, mostly young minds, to their cause and agenda.
All people know that media outlets and news networks, CNN, Fox News, your local newspaper, all have a bias. A conservative bias, liberal bias, there exists very few media outlets with no bias at all. So the government has taken to outlets where the reader, watcher, or listener wouldn't know there was a bias at all, the easiest people to manipulate, young people, and the easiest places, social media.
The root of viral content and memes is mostly twitter, twitter content is often reposted to Instagram and other social media mediums due to the ease of creating the content.
The CEO of twitter, Jack Dorsey, has expressed his liberal views multiple times and, with the help of national leaders, has configured twitter to spread his views all over the network to his peers, and to the millions of young people using Twitter.
Of course, the government has no problem helping to spread liberal views, under the Obama administration, America became more liberal than it had in recent years due to a number of factors, but one of them being overwhelming support by minors and millennials mostly being outspoken on social media. The government had (has) an active role in the distribution of content and what gets popular and what does not, at least in popular culture. The government can make opinions almost universal using only a picture and a witty caption.
Sometimes, the government fails in their objective, our president-elect Donald Trump is the example to this. The government, under Obama, did everything they could to prevent him from winning the election, they crafted most social networks to be in overwhelming support of Hilary over Trump (but not before they took to Bernie), but in their anguish, they failed, and Trump won. The backlash over Trump's victory can be observed in the Obama administration with his actions regarding Russia, as he and the administration doing their best to force Trump to assume office with a negative view from minors and millennials.
Expanding on this, I believe Bernie Sanders was inserted to the democratic race and gained popularity directly from the orders of the Obama administration. A candidate with progressive views was necessary for Hilary to have any chance. Bernie's job was to stir up progressive ideas and overwhelming dislike for Trump in young people, he was never meant to win the nomination and he didn't. But when he lost his supporters saw only two options, Hillary or Trump. Those democrats who previously may not have casted ballots for Hillary now felt obligated to, under Bernie's command, vote for her to avoid a Trump presidency, which he, however, and Obama failed at accomplishing, as Trump is about to assume office. Russia noticed Obama's efforts to promote Hillary and counter-acted with their own power, by directly doing the opposite Obama was trying to do, and promoted Trump instead of Hillary, something we are still seeing the unwinding of.

Goodluck to everyone who wants to join the
Sorry I just had to post this.
Here ya go, enjoy... sorry if it is a bit choppy... I could do better, did it in about 45 minutes
In this essay I will talk about events of World War One and Two... and (technically) my opinions on the humans that fought and/or experienced it
My Grandfather was a WW2 bomber pilot... it inspired me to write about this
World War One and Two
Twenty-One years after "The war to end all wars", 1939... A new generation born and some who have reached adulthood, a new batch of young men and women to populate and replace lives lost in the first war.
But quite ironically... they were not only there as the new generation of men and women... they were there as the next generation of fighters... warriors... and dead men...
Flashback to the 28th of July, 1914... the day World War 1 had started... the infamous "war to end all wars"
For some... war starting meant little to nothing at that point... but for others... fear... fear of suffering the fate of their ancestors... their mothers and fathers... uncles and aunts... death or permanent scarring from the horrors of killing... shooting, blowing up, cutting, incinerating, gassing, starvation, torture... the fear was realized into their hearts when Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia... revenge for many after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, but for others... pure fear.
The Country in which I hail from (United States of America) and 3 other countries (Britan, France, and Italy) imposed their terms in a series of treaties at the Paris Peace Conference of 1919. With that the League of Nations formed, hoping to halt a climax in siilar war-starting events like the one that had triggered WW1... but those fateful 21 years later... the humiliation of many countries, Germany especially, economic depression, renewed nationalism, and weakened successor states... led to the begininning of a new war... bloodier... more advanced... and a biggger turnout in the afterlife afterwards...
My country had not gotten involved in this war until 2 years or so after it started... but in the shadows was Germany... sending Jewish people to their doom in concentration camps and labor camps... the presence of God was seemingly nowhere to be found... while brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers were being slaughtered and persecuted for their beliefs, Japan had surprised America by sending a fleet of fighters to bomb Pearl Harbor... a naval outpost... it influenced America to confront the war head-on and join the fight... leading many to their death... but in all... many to be saved...
The ultimate war between Japan and America ended when we (US) dropped two experimental atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki... unexpected... and at the cost of lives and structural damage... such as of Pearl Harbor... this event not only ended it with Japan... but a somewhat secret "race" to create a fully functional, war-ready plutnium bomb was finished... the United States had beaten Germany to it, and in turn prevented possibly a long war, and more casualties.
In 1945... Adolf Hitler shot himself, and ended the war for good... with a death toll now estimated to be around 73,000,000 people... all fighters... warriors... no matter what position they held... a shopkeeper... an infantry member... a Nazi... an Allied troop... they were all people... with hearts, souls... and with a similar goal: to do what they thought was right.
World War One was a war that brought many technological advances, and opportunities for the weaponry seen in the War that followed... and World War Two saw not only more advances... but more death and destruction... it showed us the true abilities of a human... mentally and physically... and those who live to tell their tales of the wars... show signs of scarring and damage... emotional, physical, ad mentally... it has affected many... and hasn't failed to morbidly amaze those who gaze upon it... a reflection of savagery and mass killing of brothers and sisters... cruelty because of race, color, and belief... it brought attention to these things... not only spreading it.. but also trying to find ways to stop it... which is one war still being fought ot this day...

For the ones interested, here it is:
BIG TEXT:
What potential damage could terrorism inflict on the Dutch economy (in the future)?
Terrorism, a social issue present in most developed countries like the Netherlands. In the past, the Netherlands had to deal with several terrorist attacks, mostly from Moluccans, though it is only since 9/11 that terrorism has been an everyday concern. 70 attacks and 30 deaths further, the Netherlands keep spending millions on the battle against terrorism, which could affect the Dutch economy more and more in the future. We investigated how terrorism could affect the Dutch economy and its separate sectors.
Terrorism has not had a severe effect on the Dutch economy yet. We have, however, had to fund the military operations that are being carried out in Syria and other countries, where IS/Daesh is currently active. The Netherlands is not only funding these operations, but they are carrying out military operations too. Dutch F16’s are bombing East-Syria, which on its own costs a fair amount of money too. Back in mid-2006, the Dutch government spent 900 million euros on fighting terrorism, according to a research done by the magazine Elsevier. The state budget for fighting terrorism (together with uncategorized national safety) was a total of 16 million euros in 2015.
On the other hand, the state budget is more than 17.5 million euros for this year (2016).
It immediately stands out that 17.5 million euros in 2016 is a lot less than 900 million in 2006. This is remarkable because in March 2006, the Netherlands had the same threat level as in March 2016, which is and was ‘substantial’. A possible reason for this big difference is that the state budget is just a budget, it is more of a guidance than an actual limit. There is always the possibility that the state will exceed the budget limit and spend more than they agreed upon. In 2006, they did not expect that 900 million euros would be spent on fighting terrorism. They had expected to spend at least 10 times less. The same goes for this year’s state budget. Nobody can predict whether something is going to happen in the coming months. If suddenly a terrorist attack takes place in the Netherlands, the state will have to spend a lot more money on recovering and extra security. This way, the state will widely exceed the state budget. In other words, how much we will actually spend on fighting terrorism is unclear until the actual year is over.
Terrorism has also damaged the trust that the consumer has in the economy. They see unemployment and money problems as a bigger risk than they did before the threat of terrorism was apparent as it gives a sense of uncertainty, while the economy itself is not necessarily doing much worse. People will think twice before they buy sustainable food, which is more expensive. The people will also consume less, on average, consciously or unconsciously.
Another way the Netherlands and actually the entire world is influenced is by the damaging of the travel stock market. They are unable to sell all their stocks and the stocks have greatly dropped in value due to travel being complicated by anti-terroristic measures and fear of visiting certain areas of the world due to the likelihood of terrorism or due to damage inflicted by terrorism making the area less attractive.
Moreover, if the Netherlands will have to face a terrorist attack inside its boarders in the future (which has been predicted several times over the last years), it will be inevitable that buildings, public transport or similar structures will get damaged or completely destroyed. On a large scale, this could have some influence on the Dutch economy.
Consumers, but also entrepreneurs will try to avoid all unnecessary risk. Therefore the first thing consumers (and others) would do after a terrorist attack, is insuring most of the things that they possess. This would result in insurance companies earning a lot more money than before, theoretically.
The influences of terrorism on the Dutch economy in the future (of which some of them are already mentioned) can be separated into 2 different types influences. The direct influences and the indirect influences. The biggest indirect influence is trust, or distrust in this case.
This distrust can lead to less consumption, or at least postpone the consumption of a certain product. Secondly, the distrust can lead to postponing investments. The money which can be used for investments could have been given to a company or to a service, but instead consumers are keeping the money in their pocket. Not to forget the direct influences. There are several of them, including the already mentioned tourism, the destruction of buildings or similar structures, anti-terrorism campaigns and the possible damage to transport (including oil pipe lines).
All these direct influences can have a negative influence on the Dutch economy, because a lot of money has to be spent to recover.
The government actually spends a lot of money on anti-terroristic measures. Since the government is making sure that most of the public places with the presence of thousands of people are well-secured, the level of security is quite high compared to a normal situation. This high level of security can lead to the increasing costs of transportation (think of aeroplanes, trains, trucks etc.) . This is because security guards (and others who are in charge) will check almost every vehicle, to see if it has nothing suspicious in it (like weapons, potential terrorists etc.). All the extra guards, equipment and the time which has be put in this, costs the government extra money.
Overall, apart from the counter-terrorism spendings, there has not been a lot of influence on the Dutch economy on a large scale at this point. It is hard to predict at this point because everything is possible. The indirect influence, which is distrust, has been present since the 9/11 attacks and will not go extinct soon. Moreover, terrorism did not actually damage the economy, it had a slight influence on it because of the counter-terrorism spendings and the distrust, but apart from that, terrorism has not yet inflicted damage (on a large scale) on the Dutch economy. In, the future this could however be the case in the aftermath of a major terrorist attack on the Netherlands and all the direct influences this would have on the various sectors of the Dutch economy.

CIA Mind Control
Brewin @ HF
A subject that has always interested me and made me think, the CIA. One agency funded by our government that is "connected" with many things that could be considered illegal and inhumane. We'll start the timeline at the climax of the cold war prior the the Cuban Missile Crisis. Interested in unseeable threats, the CIA was testing a massive variety of warfare ranging from biological, chemical and most importantly mind control. They gathered psychiatric doctors, people top of their class and from the most prestigious academic institutions to work with them. In declassified documents from the CIA, they seem to have proven the ability to control people's minds. In a document from January 7th, 1953 claims were made that the CIA could [1] create multiple personalities in 19-year old girls.
Many people were subject to these tests without consent or prior knowledge. Children from the age of five all the way up to people in our own army were subjected to LSD testing for the project MKULTRA. LSD wasn't the only test run on these innocent people. Some underwent injections of radiation, hypnosis with the intent to brain wash, electric shock therapy (claimed to be the cause of a permanent and complete amnesia to people) and even implantation of electrodes inside the subjects brain.
People weren't the only ones subjected to this torture. Dr. Jose Delgado [2] a neurosurgeon who worked at Yale received funding to work on brain electrode research. During his work in the 50's he was able to develop a small electrode (not unlike electrode mentioned prior) that could be placed inside a cranium and still able to receive and transmit electronic signals. Armed with his remote, he was able to control the very movements of a full grown bull. He successfully moved the bull inside a ring and charged it towards himself. Pressing one simple button was able to stop the monster in a full charge.
All of these tests were done by our own government, the people sworn to protect us and abide by the constitution that we live under. No one was apprehended for any of this testing as it was so covert. By the time the documents were declassified most of the people that participated would have already been dead. I do believe there are ways that mind control can be used against people like us today. Like the test done by Dr. Jose Delgado, if in 1950 he could make this device imagine with advances in technology what could be made now. Nano technology could be implanted with none of us ever knowing the better. Fully undetectable, making us fully controlled and unable to stop it.
In summary, the CIA has done much more than just gather intelligence. They have captured people and without consent tested them in various ways. Their motives unclear only knowing they want to search the inner workings of one's mind and find out how to control it. The biggest of all the CIA's science projects, mind control.

A few reasons why grammarly claims to found this much issues is:
- I wrote in British English and grammarly settings were in US English, so everything with 'sing' instead of 'zing' (and that was a lot) was marked as an issue. Moreover things like neighbor instead of neighbour triggered grammarly.
- I used some Dutch words, that was marked as incorrect too.
- It marked several things in the Bibliography as incorrect, but again this is not the case.
To conclude, there were minor issues but most marked issues were undeserved because of the already mentioned reasons.
I think it's a decent report to read and ThatUnnamedWhiteDude vouched for it :P
