Zcash

Just reading up on Zcash.

If you want to feel like your brain was just scrambled like an egg read this:
https://eprint.iacr.org/2013/507.pdf

Here is their website: https://z.cash (won't scramble your brain)

Seems rather interesting. Alt-coin is currently #16 at CMC with a nearly $20m USD valuation. Also some decent activity in the major markets like Poloniex.

Appears to be a really serious set of techies in the team too:

I'm always reading up on crypto news and the latest trends. Just something I enjoy.

So anyone invest yet into Zcash? I know it was really high and ended up crashing but as the saying goes...buy low sell high.

Also note that Coinpayments accepts it.
I've wondered why there's been so little mention of it, and mentioned it in the Monero-related thread talking about enhanced privacy features.

I know the website https://www.privacytools.io/ has been circulating on HF for some time now and they have Zcash and ShadowCash listed as solid (but under development) alternative yet more private cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin.

I feel like if any cryptos have a shot at this point it's Ether, but mostly Monero do to it's anonymity factor and its usefulness for said things that require that said factor.
Earning for the year 2017:
super spooky
Yeesh, one would not even think that the paper refers to a cryptocurrency at first glance. I'm not invested in ZEC but I may eventually play into it with a few dollars.
I don't middleman any deals on- or off-site. Please don't message me requesting my past services and certainly don't fall for anybody who claims to be me.
I thought Zcash ended up as a scam-coin which many people were talking about. (Maybe that is why the price cashed)

Did you invest some?

I am going to read more about Zcash You posted some interesting articles about it.
I guess it plays on the more anonymous crypto currency side of things, a bit like monro, the valuation at $3k per coin when it launched was fucked up and a lot of people both made and lost a lot of money. To my knowledge it's the most profitable, somewhat mainstream coin out there rn when it comes to mining.

Going to put $100 into it today just to see how it does.

The more I read the more I like. Especially the extensive team involved. Definitely something I am going to keep an eye on. Personally I think their approach to privacy is excellent. You have to be part of a transaction in order to have the key to view it. That makes a LOT of sense. Monero's step into privacy seems overly complex and even limiting.

One day hopefully we'll see an alt-coin that incorporates all these great ideas into one blockchain. Personally I still think ETH has some of the greatest potential.
ZCash is almost at 50USD, I think it wise to invest in zcoin, it's the same protocol.
Going to make an assessment now that Zcash will top DASH for valuation and be around #6 within 3-6 months. For that to happen the price of Zcash (ZEC) has to increase 5 fold to about $215 per coin.

I'm basing this on current volume and the team. I may invest a lot more than $100.

Get that Zcash donation award ready in advance. 🤣
I bought some a while ago and have been mining it. Seems like a great project to get into and I hope it does well.

If it hits #10 or better I will consider doing it.
Seems like a nice coin to invest into. I may consider dropping a few 100's on it today as well. Where/what site will you be buying your Zcash, Omni?

I know you have invested some in XMR.

Do you keep your investment in XMR? Because I think, if the privacy of Zcash is better than XMR (I did not read that much about Zcash, that is why I say "if") , XMR getting 'useless'. I think XMR is getting useless, because one of the main things about XMR is privacy.

They are taking completely different approaches. Not sure one is that much better than the other. I like how Zcash does it but someone else like those in Dark Markets may prefer XMR.
