Man that's crazy. I can't imagine the thought process of the school administrators. Like.."How are we going to get 28k in crypto-currency"? And damn, the hackers that pulled this off, mad skill. And I do wonder how the school had that chunk of change laying around. Awesome share OP.

$28k is practically pennies for a decent sized school. $20 million is a pretty small annual budget for a public school system.

This is absolutely crazy.
In regard to paying in BTC - is there absolutely no way the police department or sheriff could get the money back? Or is there simply no connection or correlation between Bitcoin and people themselves.. (e.g detectives, police, fraud departments).
