If I'm not mistaken, the $9 c.h.i.p has better specs and features than the Omega2 Plus ($9 model). The c.h.i.p is available now, yet the Rpi' is still selling more units. The Rpi is something like the Ubuntu of dev boards. It's not going anywhere because it is proven, popular, and mature. If you want to kill the Pi, make an x86 board that costs around the same as the full sized Rpi boards.
I'm not really saying one way or the other. It is great to have all these options. One device is smaller. The other device has video or wifi. In the end, you go with the device that suits the application.

The RaspberryPi isn't going anywhere. Competition is good, but it's going to be hard for anyone to make something as powerful as the Pi at the same price. The RaspberryPi Foundation is non-profit, so they have a huge advantage there in terms of pricing and funding. Not to mention, the RPi community is massive and it's incredibly easy to get help. Any viable competitor must be able to offer the same level of support.
What we need is more products to fill the niche where the RPi is unsuitable. Stuff like VoCore, ESP8266 and C.H.I.P. are definitively interesting.
