Bethesda released a high-resolution texture pack for Fallout 4 that is a staggering 58GB in size.

Although it has extremely high system requirements.

Fortunately I've got two-way SLI GTX 1080 in hand.

damn that seems a bit excessive lol.

Reviews for this texture pack say that it only looks slightly sharper than the vanilla game, and probably isn't worth the download.

There are ENB mods that make Fallout 4 look leaps and bounds better than this texture pack does, and are only a fraction of the size and don't have crazy system requirements.

I'm a love the game, spent more than 800h in it and roughly 20h of that was after the texture update. Haven't really noticed that much to be honest. Some things are indeed sharper but meh, I honeslty don't understand why those small things would need that much space. Personally I wouldn't say that it's worth downloading this texture pack update thing unless you have hdd space that you don't know what to do with and hardware that can actually handle it (or doesn't get any cramps or shit from it).

I rock with a R9 390 and that's all that's needed, I run the game with all settings pushed to the limit. I can however now and then get "fps drops" to 50fps...but aside from that it all works nicely.

Exactly.

There are third-party graphics mods that make the game look extremely nice and won't bog down your machine and they only take up 1-3GB of HD space.
