Downtime

Thanks for keeping us updated Omni
Found the bug.

https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=53555

Apache isn't closing the threads in mpm_event_module properly.

Hoping I can get this resolved so that I don't have to babysit the server.

Must be having fun the past few days with these server problems. I was wondering why HF kept loading slow or giving bad gateway errors like every 15-25 mins.
Okay, I'm changing our Apache module from Event to Worker. For some reason Event doesn't close the old connections properly and eventually it locks up because of it. I think this is going to fix the issue permanently. Let's hope so. I'm tired of having to stop what I'm doing to deal with this.

Sorry again for the last hour of downtime. :(

It's fine man.

Hopefully you get it fixed permanently so you don't have to worry about it anymore.

There's no reason to be sorry, I'm sure I along with the majority of HackForums can understand the effort you put in fixing these problems. Small downtimes like this is nothing. Cheers.

Really appreciate what you're doing and the hard work you put down making this forum work.
Thanks buddy!
I think we were Worker MPM and the latest update set us to Even MPM. Seems to be a bug with it and sadly FreeBSD support is a bit less than Linux (CentOS/Debian).

Just sucks that all I did was update to latest versions and everything falls apart. :(

I can't even imagine the hell I'm going to deal with trying to update MyBB to 1.8.
Maybe this had something to do with this? Or nah..?

It's a big site that requires big efforts!
Nobody should be blaming you for this, thank you for taking care of it swiftly!
You got this Omni, I am sure we can all be patient, don't stress about it too much, take your time, and thank you for all the hard work.

Are you really that ignorant? I'd say the same to anyone who was doing something that requires a lot of work.

Shit. Sorry. I just told you what I felt. Nowadays a person is not even able to share feels without being judged.
At least the site isn't having downtime like it was 2-3 years back.
Where the site seemed to be down almost everyday for like 5 months.

GJ with the uptime.
