For those who have 2FA enabled, which one are you currently using/prefer?

I was using Google Authenticator up until this point when I made the switch to Authy due to its ability to sync accounts across multiple devices.

I realized I needed this since I am constantly flashing new ROMs onto my phone and didn't want to risk getting locked out of my accounts.

If you're still using Google Authenticator, consider the switch to Authy. It'll be handy in case those dreaded phone accidents you've been imagining about, turn into a reality.

I'm pretty sure Omni said that the account is lost if you lose access because of google Authenticator.

I believe so, I've been taking precaution every time I make changes to my phone because of this. Now I can freely experiment as long as I have access to this phone number.

Used Google Auth at first, but soon learned that authy was better imo.

For sure, I wish I'd have known about it sooner.

I used google Authenticator and my phone went rip. Luckily I was still logged in and able to remove gauth. Now I use Authy.

What about for Youtube and stuff like that?

I'd rather keep all my Auths together. It's just easier to keep up with.

That's what I'm afraid of, although I have my accounts logged in on my laptop, you never know what could happen.

Authy supports anything which Google Authenticator will support, so since Youtube goes under your Google Account, it's supported by Authy.

Yeah, I'd say it's definitely more worth it in the long run. Be sure to look into the features and how to migrate devices though.

I've been using Authy for months, switched from Google Auth. Honestly Authy has a cool backup feature which I'm sure will come in handy.
