First and formal, I know that the private message system is built like it is and that it is not built by Omniscient himself. And to make any changes to it requires coding on the core, yes it might be difficult but Omniscient is Omniscient, he's a myBB god, so don't comment upon that part.

What is my suggestion? To allow a private message chat with 3-users. This can be very useful in numerous situations and the most common one would be when using a middleman on-site; which is recommended. Secondly it can be useful when you are partnered on a project with 2 other and would like to keep all conversation on-site. I could go on with the list but you get the point now.

Good idea on paper, but not so good idea in practical terms without proper limitations set in place (for a spontaneous community like HF). Imagine the possibilities of receiving loads of notifications over some random 3-way chat that you've been invited for no proper reason.

Yes. You can already do it. The feature has been built into MyBB for a very long time. IIRC it was even in 1.4 and we're at 1.8 now (HF isn't, but upgrading it makes you suicidal).

And everyone that is in the chat gets all messages and are all synced if you "Reply All"?
