Thanks, even every other thing that started began like this.

I can name many examples. All it requires is hardwork amd dedication and never giving up.

Just wanted to start this for the community.

By looking at the various scams and disputes here and on other sites. You dont have to laugh your ass out for that.

I hope you do get to work on changing stuff soon, because right now it's terrible.

It's on a FREE theme, nothing special about it. NO templates have been modified except for by plugins, making it look very basic and overall very shitty.

I'm not saying this forum isn't going to go anywhere, but in it current state it will not.

This is where I would say you're wrong. Not to be rude, but EVERY community has scammers. For every good, there is a bad. That is inevitable. Without that there would be no balance.

With that said, I'm sure Wet Rag is just trying to look out for the community because 1. You didn't really invest much in your forum other than your time, so this could just be another clever way to lure members onto your forum and scam them using your "owner" title. Or 2. Just to look out for you. Running forums is a tedious task. You not only have to spend a lot of time, but most of the time you have to spend a lot of money as well. Everything will seem like it's going all good, until you realize you don't have a good member base. And assuming forums have been out for ages, that is a nearly impossible thing to get without investing anything. And without a good member base, it won't go anywhere.

Trust me, I know from experience.

This is my exact point. I've seen it happen a lot of times.

Judging from the way this dude types he's clearly an Indian.

This is so sketchy haha. How could anyone with even a half brain trust this?
The idea is good, Forums are a hard site to grow as there are so many of them, but focusing on a specific area does help a lot, However your execution does not deem the site 'professional' in my opinion, and where money is involved, you first need to spend money yourself before you expect other users on your site to 'Xchange' goods/services/money.

Other than that, if you can do the improves like others have suggested and stay dedicated to it, The forum COULD go somewhere but it just depends on how far your able to push it.

Thanks for this. Like I said I am already investing on it and ready to take it to the next level. I am okay with constructive thoughts like this and welcome them.

I see a lot of bullshit remarks on this thread, honestly.

Nothing against you as I've spoken to you recently, but that's probably the most bullshit reply in this thread.
"It isn't really considered a professional site by a lot of standards." - This is Omni's profession, it's how he makes his money. Users buy things off of him, he provides us with a service. A good service at that. Sounds like a good business to me.

also, who made your thread design? It's horrid.

Who was Omni before he made Hack Forums? Who was a lot of people before they created their projects? Granted his site has a free theme and a rubbish thread design, but the last time I looked this forum was called Website Showcase and Reviews, meaning constructive criticism. What's shit about the thread design? Where can he get a better one? What dev. can he contact for a better theme?

Because it could possibly be a site to lure people to so he can scam them as someone's already said? That's a leap. Have you seen HF's Marketplace? The whole thing's sketchy.

A lot of people have spent time to come into this section and to bash people and their projects when in all honesty this isn't what the section's for at all. A review is a user's experience of the project and insinuating change if necessary. It's either I've woken up in a really bad mood or half of the posts on this thread are genuine bullshit and not actual reviews.

OP, you should consider changing your theme or customizing it to your likings and don't just settle for the default. A good theme designer here on HF is a user called Verilog, he owns WallBB.co.uk. Whilst on the discussion of graphics, you should probably ask him if he does userbars too as there's nothing original about them userbars, they're quite known. As for a thread design, the artist SIMAAS is really good.

This is probably one of your first attempts at doing something like this. Good luck and you've gotten off to a half-decent start.

Thank you for your very informative reply. Will look into this very soon and get the flaws corrected. Thanks once again Wires!

Just a couple things I thought I'd say

You should move the "XF Official" section to the top of the forum instead of second, it's the most important information regarding the site, it shouldn't be under discussions about cryptos and money making ideas.

What makes trading on your forum safe? Unless I'm wrong your idea is around exchanging, or maybe it's about selling items(Marketplace niche). I ask this as you've put " Safe Crypto/GC/Virtual Goods Xchangez" into your title.

One flaw(I feel like it's a flaw) is the fact you can register and instantly post a thread to become a middleman, meaning one easy avenue for scammers to grab items, I could be over thinking this, but there's no real requirement to post in there, I feel like there should be.

Good luck with your forum.
