MY ANALYSIS - First things first, I have been a long term investor in mobile video games and have been managing different mobile games for years so I know the industry very well. I understand the problems that exists, which makes me think I am qualified enough to post an analysis on the coin. After researching the coin there doesn’t appear to be really any value. There is no reason Enjin couldn’t just build the platform on ETH coins instead of creating their own. By creating their own they are just flooding the market with yet another useless coin, the technology and the idea that it is a decentralized platform to help eliminate risk is a cool idea but does not necessarily reflect the coin. If they were creating a platform for other gaming companies to adopt, then I would consider investing in the technology but investing in a coin that will be used within the Enjin coin is ridiculous. When you invest you are hoping the price will increase in the future, and if any coin is going to increase in the future cryptocurrency in general needs to be more adopted. So when buying Enjin you are hoping the cryptocurrency space will grow and more people will get involved, but in that sense other companies like Blizzard or Valve will get involved and then what will happen to the Enjin space. They don’t have enough market share to really be a big player in the business and will have a falling out. Other companies will be able to use ETH which is more popular and will make them more money than forcing customers to use a unpopular coin. Also it does not make much sense that the price will increase when it is used among gamers, why would someone pay over the market for the coin? ( Which is how coins increase )

Crypto currency is still very new and I don’t see a large enough population of the gamers in the Enjin platforms using the coin. I also don’t see the coin being adopted by other gaming companies like Blizzard or Valve who would likely just use a popular coin like Ethereum to conduct the smart contracts.

EDIT : TBH it is pretty insane people are willing to invest without reading the yellow paper. I have talked with a lot of video game developers and they dont seem to even like the idea because nothing technical is even posted. So you are purely speculating that this can even work from a technology side. They dont have any information and the Github is geared toward NodeJS

I asked the CTO and here is what was said when I asked about it
Code
"after the crowdsale starts on the 3rd we're all going into development mode to get an MVP done by the end of the year

been focused on getting the crowdsale code perfect at the moment"
When buying this, you are just speculating that this can even be done. ( They wont be able to get into mobile games imo )

Maybe I don’t understand the Meme, but this looks extremely unprofessional

WILL I PERSONALLY BE INVESTING?
- I don’t want to say 100% that I won’t be investing because new information could always come out etc, however I strongly won’t be investing. If they were building a platform using Ethereum coins that other companies could adopt for their virtual goods then I would certainly invest. I don’t want to buy coins that are specific to one small ( yes, there 18.7 million gamers is a very small group ) company. So considering I dont see this coin ever becoming adopted, I am not going to participate in the ICO.

RATING
3/10

Invest at your own discretion. I am not responsible for your investment, I am simply adding my analysis and prediction. I am not a programmer or a coder, I am making my speculation based on my previous business experience and understanding of the market

I told you this when you commented on my announcement thread for the coin. Your rating is utter bullshit. This analysis is nowhere near reflective of Enjin Coin, the team or the idea behind it. Sorry for all the negativity, I just wanted to get this out.

Minecraft = Young users. How hard is it to teach a younger kid how to use crypto currency? And how hard is it to make it easily accessible?

Crowdfunding = Way to much money is being raised. $12m is a ton of money for this project

Still a long way for main adoption

Would love to hear what you have to say though. Your last thread was all copy and pasted. Write some original thoughts please. Debates are nice, saying something sucks without backing it up is pretty pathetic though

... 3/10

The amount of revenue that goes through enjoin and tbh there really aren't that many young people. The average age on most servers I found was around 15 - 16. Definitely old enough to use cryptocurrencies.

I owned a enjoin website and a minecraft server and I was praying for something like this to come out, for in game payments with tokens and sdks to make a great payment channel and I am sure that many minecraft community posters would benefit from this project and implement it into their server.

This team is great, Maxim is a super active developer and has continued to perfect his product over the years.

In terms of investing for a profit, why do you think the price for this token would increase? First of all, the revenue that is created from buying and selling of the item doesn't effect the investor....It certainly could be a great product that is no doubt. ( Like I said I understand the advantages that this product has )

"15 - 16 " Most players require verification and it is only going to get more difficult to buy crypto over the years. ( Especially for US customers )

If you are 15 or 16 you cant use coinbase or anything like that, so you would need to buy bitcoin from more time consuming ways. Like Paypal ( HF trading )

Still, at 15 or 16 people might have a hard time understanding it.

Edit:
Plus users that are not in it to profit take, need to be willing to lose money. They have to understand their item could be $10 today and $5 tomorrow or $20 tomorrow. A lot of people wouldnt want that risk. Especially with a coin like Enjin. If I was a game owner, I would be cashing it all out to ETH or BTC whenever I got the chance. I wouldn't want the money to sit in this coin and I think a lot of people would agree

Using the Ethereum network as anything more than a gateway for the transfer of Ethers requires you to create a new contract. It's also the norm for projects to issue their own tokens when running a contract because it makes the ICO process more straightforward and it also separates their token from ETH. Also, with the Mint contract serving both ENJ and Custom Coins, liquidity will not be an issue for ENJ as server owners and players can settle each of the two back and forth - this would not possible without a token.

The platform will involve more than just ERC20 tokens...their goal is to have an entire ecosystem of P2P transfers, currency settlements, item transfers, plugins, an exchange, and more to integrate ENJ for a streamlined experience. Associating in-game items with value using Bancor (still ERC20-compliant) tokens is what they aim to do. What people don't understand when looking at EnjinCoin is that token transfers will largely remain on the backend and not much will change for the end users. Think Ripple, XRP, and their RTS system but replace businesses with games and XRP with ENJ. Same concept.

Gamers won't need to worry about setting up an Ethereum wallet to send/receive tokens unless they'd like to. The wallet will make it easier. Since ERC20 tokens don't go through a middleman and the contract code will be auditable, every aspect of the platform should be superior to whatever Enjin is currently running.

I don't middleman any deals on- or off-site. Please don't message me requesting my past services and certainly don't fall for anybody who claims to be me.

It is very interesting, and I took a look at the Bitcointalk pages and people seem to be very excited about it. The only way this takes off though is if they are able to make it adopted and get gaming companies like Blizzard to use it. Saw a interesting post about GooglePlay and how they might not be necessarily breaking their rules by offering this coin.

Still very risky to invest imo. It would be impossible to tell if they are able to actually get adopted which is why you can make a lot of money if you invest and they actually do.

Everything is still really months away before it will really pick up speed ( if it actually works )

Who is investing in it right now? I would be interested to see how many members are going to participate.

I don't see why they'd need adoption by other gaming companies for this to succeed, but the SDKs should help with that.

I have around 50000 ENJ at this point. Probably not going to buy more or sell, I'll be waiting for their first few releases and judge things from there.

I agree. Enjin is already big enough to do this on their own and be very successful. They have an extremely solid plan that will be able to open the door for developers across multiple platforms. The gaming market keeps getting bigger and so will Enjin if they keep up their performance.

I plan on holding at least through quarter 2 or 3.

If they dont get other gaming companies on board it is going to be a smaller operation. They own a small portion of the gaming field. ( I have been talking about long term investing, not short term ) In short, yeah it could 10x from here, but scaling this is going to be very difficult especially with the whole GooglePlay aspect to it

If I do end up investing I will likely invest $300-600. Im not going to invest thousands

Its nice that they have such a large audience to start the coin, which is why it can be successful in the beginning. If I do end up investing I would hold it long term and see where it lands

Edit: Have been messaging the CTO back and fourth. Maybe I was a little harsh on my evaluation. It is a really interesting coin and will certainly keep updated with its progress. One of the only ICO's that have really caught my attention

Edit2: Also they are looking to sell $.05 a coin and I believe last time was $.03. Lets just say they sell their coins at a average of $.04. (5+3 = 8/2)

$.04 X 1,000,000,000 = a $40m evaluation.

A idea is not worth $40m

They want you to think you are getting a amazing deal, but you are really buying this at a premium. How high do you think one of the first companies to try this will go?

Do you seriously put it at a $200m evaluation? Which would price the coin at $.20 per share
[Image: RiVgfAL.png]
I also think people are forgetting, the company doesn't even have a MVP. They are literally just a whitepaper right now. Lets say they hit the exchanges and for some miracle the presale buyers dont ship their investment for a quick buck. We will say it is $.07 per coin at this point.

How the hell are you going to evaluate a coin at $70m with nothing. I think it might be best to wait and see some things getting implemented.

Yes some of you might get lucky and it might increase, or maybe it wont end up blasting. But from a business standpoint, how are you going to evaluate a business $70m on pure speculation. Without seeing any action it doesnt make sense to blindly throw in money because they promise a bunch of different things.

I understand that they can impact the video game business, but it is over evaluated. I think it would be better to take a step back and wait for the crazy pumps to occur and buy in when the evaluation is $.01-.025

How much was presale? Is it 'too late' (more expensive) since I mised out presale?
thx

It was sold at $.03, but will be at $.05 on October 3rd. If you have any additional questions feel free to PM me

I got 1.3 eth worth at $0.03 each. A company and team such as this one can do a lot with all this money. They're also one of the first to implement it in a game.
