I'm about to start learning html is html5 and html the same thing?
is it better to start learning html or html5? same with css do I start learning css or css3? 🤝
HTML5 is just the next version of HTML, like CSS3 is the next version of CSS. It's like saying which Windows is the best between Win 7 and Win 10. It's just newer and you have more function. The only cons is that if the person browsing your website is on Window 2000 with IE 4, your CSS3 and HTML5 tags will not be recognised and some functions will not work. But as essentially, almost everything will work.

Learn HTML5
The only people who still use Internet Explorer 4 are grandmas or people making fun of it

You will learn HTML by learning HTML5.

HTML5 = HTML. Just stick to this methodology.
