Would be an awesome idea to have banned members rep removed though like it becomes purged when the user is banned. I'd lose some but think a banned user shouldn't have any output on anyone else :)

If you scam someone. They post a deal dispute. They leave you a neg with a link to the deal dispute. - Why would that get removed if they get banned?
You're literally saying that it's invalid just because they are banned.

Personally, I wouldn't agree with banned users' having their reps removed.

But as far as closed users go, why should they get to voice their opinion on another user and non-upgraded members can't? When I think I'd value a non-upgraded member more than a user who was closed for negatively affecting the community in some way. It's debatable I guess.

Getting reps is easy but maintaining them is the hard part. I remember many users who reached 3k reps in 2011-2013 but they are nowhere to be seen now. All of them got their account closed.
