As part of the (National Math and Science Initiative), some high schools have opened up their Advanced Placement courses to all students, and those who score a 3 or higher on the A.P. exam earn a $100 reward, as do their teachers.
For those that don't understand what I'm trying to say here's a more simpler way to put it:
If students In schools/colleges are performing exceptionally well should they be rewarded... as this could been seen as a motivation factor for those who aren't performing as well to make them more determined to improve...
What do you think of financial incentives to perform well in school? Would you study harder if there were a cash bonus attached to a good grade?
great idea. i'd try harder if there was a cash bonus
Bad idea, you go to school to learn and earn money after school not earn money while learning.

You don't explain why it's a bad idea, just how society has been running schools lmao
sure, i mean u might actually have to put a roof on the payouts but it sounds like a fun idea. sounds more like something a school would do internally and not something that the government would be a part with.

It's certainly a benefit considering that nowadays education is just getting tougher and tougher. More importantly there is a lot of pressure on kids put by parents which actually de-motivates them more than anything. As a result having this incentive would surely benefit us.
We pay a lot of taxes in America, I think cash bonuses would motivate students to get good grades and teach them about success. Maybe even something like $100 for every A on your report card in academics. Payments could be issued from the state and determined by the state. That way a student is on the road to success rather than failure! Great idea OP!
Don't see much good in it
-Motivates cheating even further
-Students will read for money and not to actually learn
-Possible bullying(in case a victim receives the money.)
-Budget
Can probably think of more, but these i can get off the top of my head
Not a bad idea, but just a dumb one. $100 is pitty change.

Well I think there should be more cameras in school; in the rooms. Cheating should be an automatic suspension.
It could make school more enjoyable, bullying usually comes from poverty or a lack of parent guidance.
I think there should be a Money/Success class in school that is required like Math.

Isn't that the whole premise of academic scholarships?

We pay taxes so students can have the opportunity to get good grades.
And if you think about it, with the promise of money, more kids will be cheating and memorizing answers than actually learning.
