I was trying to set up WSL on my school's VM and got an error. I looked it up and found out I needed to enable nested virtualization. Since this was out of my hands, I emailed the IT department for help. They told me I am not allowed to use WSL on the VM at all. I also asked if I could use SSH instead, and their response made it clear that I am not permitted to do any of this.

This forum especially true when asking for tools that court bypass administrative restrictions or gain remote access through unapproved channels. When I brought up WSL, they responded in a friendly manner. However, as soon as I mentioned SSH, they became strict and formal, insisting that I should avoid using it at all costs. This might be due to the hacking attempt I made last year. (Sep 8, 2025 01:38 PM)DramaKing Wrote: If you don't have a good reason for administrative changes, it's going to be a no. As for OP, I suggest utilizing other channels to accomplish whatever it is you’re trying to do. (Sep 8, 2025 10:36 AM)zuplex Wrote: I was trying to set up WSL on my school's VM and got an error.
